Marin Honda

Never posted on Marin's fan fest before, but been a long time fan! Her FS dress looks stunning and the emotion she shows in her program already looks so intense :eeking: wishing her luck for the new season!
 
So I found DOI stream and clicked on it as fast as I could to only see Marin last element, LSp :cry: I hope someone will upload full performance soon :ghug:
 
Giacomo Puccini's Turandot was previously used by Elena Radionova in the last season as well as Shoma Uno's debut season. Shoma Uno's long program was stuck in my head and I felt it strange for Radionova to perform with Turandot. Now I cannot not help but compare Marin with Elena and Marin's version seems to be better choreographed, especially the ending.

FS layout in the DOI was 3Lz 3F CCoSp Stsq FSSp 2A 3Lo Chsq 3Lo 2A LSp. A jump pass was missing in the show, I think it should place between (First 2A & 3Lo) or (3Lo & Chsq).

The jump layout will change to repeat (3Lo & 3T) or (3Lo & 3F)?

Thanks. Seen another clip on YT. There's Mai's too. I wish Marin have shown her SP too, as I just learned that both of them are doing tangos this year.
 
I wish she held the spiral a bit longer. That spiral is nice but I think she needs to do the leg lifting more gracefully. Anyway, I'm loving it (she has ina bauer so I'm totally sold)! Looking forward for her to polish the program more :luv17:
 
Great FS choice for the Olympic seasons, not many skaters can do grandeur at her age with such ease. She looks maturer than many of the so-called high PCS skaters of the sport, and clearly have the artistic temperament for it, without resorting to cheap tricks. This is a good start, as the season progresses, she will add more of the emotional realisation and polish the movements (holding positions, selling the moves, shape program arch etc.), probably with more experience of the trials and tribulations of the mysterious alchemy of PCS COP marking? Has she announced her SP choice yet? Hopefully makes a good contrast to this war horse, something more lyrical and contemporary?

I hope she can be the dark horse to the Olympics, one of the few youngsters I really love.

By the way, her dress reminds me so much Yuna Kim's Turadot :D
