I was quite impressed by Mark in all these interviews. Specially in the one after the FS with Petya and Zhenya, he showed great empathy and kindness worrying about Zhenya who was clearly very upset, and trying several times to cheer him up; he also had the gracefulness of putting Misha's and Zhenya's merits upfront while downplaying his own.
And in the ones I share below, he spoke about how "he didn't want to be a prisoner of his own flashbacks" after his bad FS at Nats and as so, he expressly wore the same costume and had his focus on "not to correct past mistakes, but to prove that in the present he could do it". And that is why he was so happy with his medal here, not because of the placement itself but because "now he was free"
And indeed he was by far the happiest of all medalists 
I must say, the more I see of Mark's interviews and videos, the more I like his personality and in particular his attitude to life. He does seem like a very healthy balanced, self-aware person with the right outlook on what is actually important.
