Best to Max for the FS today :).

Max won the silver medal at Nebelhorn.
He placed third in the FS: 139.48 = 66.48 + 73.00.
(Doubled both quads, unfortunately.)

Aaron's musical choices are sincere. His costumes are understated but classy. We all know he is trained, this event was a big step forward

So nothing big then, ey Max. ;)

He was really magnificent today. Sure, he doubled the quads. But everything else was just so...! Man, he strings that all together...getting shivers just thinking about it!

I have to say that I was very impressed with Max's short program. Great improvement in presentation. Might become a fan after all

Wow, first time I like his program, really good job.

I loved Max today!:cheer: I am definitely becoming a fan!

Welcome to all new Maxfans! Come join us on the light side!

Max's new ex number is AC/DC's Thunderstruck. A bit cheesy for him but the big happy grin on his face...he's clearly relaxed and enjoying himself. I have a great feeling about this season for him!

@MaxTAaron
Thank you guys for all the support!! I have learned so much again and I am looking forward to competing in the Grand Prix!!

Wishing Max the best at Skate America. He certainly has whetted our appetite for following the growth of his programs.

Random Max fact (which does not surprise me, LOL):
@ChrisKnierim

Question:
Does this photo show Max happily hoisting the Nebelhorn team trophy?
The caption says Colin, but looks like Max to me? (The photo is not from the trophy ceremony, where I know Stasia and Colin represented Team USA.)

:agree: Max's FS was a pleasure to watch, never mind the jumps.

And like you, I love his openness about setting big goals for himself.

:agree: Thx, karne :). His smile is a delight, as is his joy in performing for the crowd.

Cross-posting from The Edge and from the Nebelhorn thread:

(1) Max's training is the subject of a photo series on the USOC site. Twelve photos and captions, incl. some quotes from Max.

My Focus: Max Aaron
Sept. 29, 2015, 12:11 p.m. (ET)
"My Focus" is a weekly photo series in which TeamUSA.org (and @TeamUSA on Instagram) takes fans behind the scenes with some of the top Olympic and Paralympic athletes and hopefuls. Fans can get a glimpse into a day in the life of an athlete and see the hard work, dedication and sacrifice that is required on a daily basis to represent Team USA. In the third installment, follow figure skater Max Aaron as he trains at the U.S. Olympic Training Center and World Arena in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

ETA, two extra photos of Max (not included at the link above) are on USOC social media to promote the series:

I hope we get to see a pic of Max being cute and holding up Elladg's medal

Finally stumbled upon a photo of Max and Elladj that captures the cuteness :) that we saw on the live streaming:

For those who don't know the context:
The still photographer apparently wanted a shot of Elladj holding up his medal. But Elladj did not have a free hand b/c of the big ol' trophy, plaque-thingy, and flowers he received.
Max came to the rescue and held up Elladj's medal for him. Max is leaning away from Elladj to help the photog get a shot without Max's face -- with just an anonymous third hand holding Elladj's medal up.
But for me, it is more cute to see both guys smiling together at this moment of #teamwork.

ETA, Stitch's follow-up post from the Nebelhorn thread -- which has the link to the also-very-cute video corresponding to the still photo:
As others have said, they were basically just very cute and friendly.

The video is available if you are interested.

qued up to about when Max helps Elladj out. ...

:hopelessness: Oh no, that's an awful photo. Why did they have to use that one? I can already see some ridicule in the side comments.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaah adorable!!!!!!!!! Where's that bromance thread gone, this one should go in there

Max is really hunk

:agree: This post has the karne stamp of approval!

I like when he wears the jeans for his exs.

Unlisted video from USFS with Max highlights:
https://youtu.be/zo84xuPqEU4 (0:29, posted Sep 29)

To promote Skate America, USFS apparently put together similar highlight videos for all the 2015 entries (from all countries).
Although the videos are unlisted, I assume that USFS would be happy for them to be viewed by anyone and everyone.

karne, here is the page with links to all the Men's videos, including Brendan's, for example.

BTW, I love this Instagram from Max -- which really conveys both the beauty of Oberstdorf and how it made him feel :

ETA (on Oct 20):

:bmrk: 2015 SKATE AMERICA :bmrk: Max-related anticipation and discussion start with this post.

Very cool videos! Thanks, golden411!!!!!!

Two things:

- I feel a bit awkward that Max's is probably about 90% jumps and everyone else's is more...balanced. (Also a bit ripped off that no slain!Gladiator.) But they included the  4S-3T from Nationals so that's okay.

- Brendann Kerry? (Also, opening shot is charming Brendan which is always a winner.)

;) Just kidding, but Ashley Wagner is a troublemaker . When Max gets to Milwaukee, he should have a laser focus on skating clean programs, but now he's going to need a bodyguard :hopelessness: ...

( LOL, I love someone's reply to her tweet: "@AshWagner2010 you're the realest pushy grandma" )

Too bad that USFS misspelled Brendan's name.

(Not that it should be any consolation, but USFS has trouble getting the names of even Team USA skaters correct. USFS misspelled Sean Rabbitt's name within a graphic in its YT video showcasing him (for the Autumn Classic), and within the title of the video on the YT page.)

Almost forgot:
Good luck at Skate America to BatMax and Brendan and Jason and ...

 I have to say, props to Ashley for exciting the gossips and then shooting them down in about ten words. I can just imagine some of the gossips' eyes lighting up at the first sentence: "Ashley Wagner calls Max Aaron her snugglemuffin? OMG they're secretly together!" before the let down immediately after: "Oh, he's single? Guess they're not."

I guess this finally puts the kibosh on the "are they or aren't they" status of Max-and-Gracie, though.

Although, Max is not that much younger than me... ;)

I picked those three for my fantasy skating (of course!). Go get 'em, boys!

... I picked those three for my fantasy skating (of course!). Go get 'em, boys!

FWIW, Jackie Wong is picking SnuggleBat to place third at Skate America (Jason fifth; Brendan eleventh):

... BRONZE Max Aaron USA - Max Aaron's reinvention tour continues - and to be honest, really starts - at Skate America. He has put his new choreographic approach out to the international panel, and its been well-received so far. What Aaron desperately needs to do, though, is skate a clean competition. It's the only way he's going to be able to gain momentum on the world stage. And frankly, I've got high hopes for him this season. ...
http://www.rockerskating.com/news/2...with-a-three-letter-last-name-is-gonna-win-it (Oct 19)

But as discussed in other threads, who knows?
Fingers crossed for Max to skate clean.

I also definitely think he could place above Jason here. A lot of people seem to think Jason has this in the bag but I don't really get why. If Max goes clean with these programs I think he's a force to be reckoned with.
