For a lady skater, I am sure everyone will agree that if she moves over the ice like Yuka Sato, she spins like Caroline Zhang, she jumps like Irina Slutskaya and has the poise of Michelle Kwan, we have found the ideal lady skater.

For me personally, if you substitue Zhang in your list with Lucinda Ruh and swapped Slutskaya for Midori Ito, then i'd agree!

Chan's skating is mediocre, IMO. But his marks suggest it's outstanding, something special. Patrick is not the first overrated skater though, nor the last one.

It does. But I thought the ice dancers in general have the best edges among all four disciplines. Virtue&Moir have much better edges than Chan's. Chan is developing in all perspectives in skating. The marks suggested somehow he is on the top. The conclusion is obvious: Chan is way over-rated.
