Yeah, the judging is ridiculous. But it's not out of the ordinary for figure skating.

We haven't even seen the programs yet, so it's too early to tell the ridiculous level of the skating at this point.

Joubert got inflated PCS in the qualifying, I'm nervous with what judges will do now.

Read eurosport.

I do wonder what Sandhu fell on. I bet it was the 3A.

Do Canadians not have live coverage right now?

This is turning out to be one bizarre night, and I haven't even seen it yet! Plus, Jeff has yet to skate. Should be interesting.

At lease now Lambiel is not way ahead, which makes the rest of the competition more interesting.

Eurosport about Brian:

"FANTASTIC STUFF...the crowd loved it and he looks delighted wuth that performance...that should really eat into Lambiel's lead..."

In Canada, we get the watch the coverage at 8pm local time. So it will not be live for me since I live in the pacific time region.

80.31 in the short for Brian :D But still behind Sandhu in PCS.

1 Stephane LAMBIEL SUI 117.64 1 4
2 Nobunari ODA JPN 114.48 1 3
3 Brian JOUBERT FRA 114.36 3 1
4 Emanuel SANDHU CAN 107.36 6 2
5 Johnny WEIR USA 106.91 4 5
6 Evan LYSACEK USA 105.25 2 7
7 Chengjiang LI CHN 104.82 5 6

Well make sure to give us a report, if you would. I'd like to hear from a normal person (not a journalist who knows nothing about figure skating) about how it went.

Joubert's trite choreography and unoriginal interpretation are better than Weir's elegant choreography and interpretation! Not just that, but also his skating skills, performance, and transitions! Oh lord, the faith we should have in the COP. Bow down to these judges.

Clean besides the fall.

He skated his SP perfectly the first 3 tries, and since the GPF it has sucked. He did it too many times, needed a change like Lambiel.

Jeff two points ahead of Evan in the technical scores with a fall.

1 Stephane LAMBIEL SUI 117.64 1 4
2 Nobunari ODA JPN 114.48 1 3
3 Brian JOUBERT FRA 114.36 3 1
4 Jeffrey BUTTLE CAN 107.78 2 7
5 Emanuel SANDHU CAN 107.36 6 2
6 Johnny WEIR USA 106.91 4 5
7 Evan LYSACEK USA 105.25 2 8
8 Chengjiang LI CHN 104.82 5 6

All I know is that Oda is no where near the quality of the other skaters in the top 7. Sandhu will likely blow it so you can probably count him out. Things aren't as bad for Evan as I thought they would end up after that performance. Still a chance, I suppose. But it looks like Lambiel will take gold.
