Men's Short Program

SO on the Quad, but recovered nicely with a solid 3A and 3Z-3T? I like this program but I don't think it will be enough. He will beat Dai though.

Oda's program won't be good to beat Takahashi, but could be close to Gachinski

Nobunari Oda

Step-out on the 4A, but got all the way around. Deep knee, as usual, on the 3A and 3Lz+3T. His camel spin actually wasn't boring. Fast spins are going to make a strong difference, but the weird stumble on the footwork isn't. (Why does he always shoot himself in the foot like this?) Love the support from the Russian audience. Not as strong as his SP from Skate America, but he should still score high.

SP: 81.81

True, but he totally botched his single jump and he didn't have the speed and finesse that Florent did...

yes, but you see that in PCS (Florent 5th - Artur 10th or 11th), the jump was rotated so only negative GOE, but Florent didn't have a quad and Artur had it in combo..that's the big difference IMO

Good program, apart from the stumble on the foot work and step-out on the quad. Quad looked fully rotated.

Chan's lead is too great, though. I think it's safe to say he's already won.

Nobu had those unfortunate errors but otherwise he did great. I love this program for him. Finally he grew up. If we fans are lucky : ) both he and Dai will end up with medals.

It's understandable.

Understandable because of the large number of factors working against them, but still strange to see them in this state. Hope they get their usual "je ne sais quoi" factor back for the FS, since that seems to be the strongest program for all of them. It's a little heartbreaking to watch skaters who aren't feeling well
