So very sad to hear this. He has always been a sentimental favorite of mine. Was looking forward to seeing his beautiful White Crow program again. Prayers for his speedy and complete recovery.

Oh no, I was thinking about possibilites what world have happened with the ladies team if one of them got covid, but it hit the men... That's so sad, I wish Michail easy Recovery.

On a positive note, Semenenko will get his chance to shine! Good for him! And Michail at least has had one Olympic experience.

During the Olympics he will be 27. So I don't know if this motivates him for the next olympic cycle. But I hope at least for Worlds this year and at better for the next two years. He didn't fullfil his dreams and potential yet...

I disagree, because I am tired of Mozalenko walking the wire, destroying both promising skaters. If all three young athletes remain healthy and compete in the Olympics, the least they can get, independently of the results, are the spots at the post-Olympic worlds. With the way things appear right now, Russia will have to rebuild man's singles team from the younger skaters, and all three need senior international experience and stability. If Kolyada returns to competitive shape next season, he can compete then. It is unfortunate and sad that he fell ill, but these macabre hunger games got to stop.
