A few of the second jumps in the combo looked a little suspect to me, but I think she looks amazing overall. Slay, Mirai!

I really hope she has the 2nd best performance of her life in the FS (the best being saved for the Olympics, obviously). Hoping for a hometown champ. Her family's sushi restaurant is only 5 minutes away, and I really wonder what the atmosphere will be like inside if she ends up striking gold at Nationals...ten years later.

How great would it be if Mirai won her 2nd national title after winning 10 years ago and landed a fully rotated +GOE triple axel? GO MIRAI!!!

After she landed her last jump, she was smiling during her step sequence, that was very nice to see.

Also, she slightly over-rotated the 3A. I feel like she put in extra power to make sure it's not UR... what a boss.

MIRAI! I wanted to cry watching how emotional she was after her skate. She embodies perseverance. If she isn't selected for the Olympic team then the universe is a screwier place than I thought.

So proud of Mirai and her silver medal! The arena was roaring when she finished and I was cheering for her as she cried tears of relief and happiness.

So glad I got to witness her moment in person!
