I'm still feeling a little sad about this news, as Team Koko was one of my favorite ice dance teams. They were always so engaging and entertaining! I'm glad I got to see them one last time in Montreal this year. On a personal note, I also feel very lucky to have met Tim and Misato and gotten their autographs as well as selfie with them back at Skate America 2021. Wishing nothing but the best for both of them. 💕

Misato joined Daisuke Takahashi and Keiji Tanaka as a surprise guest at two talk shows in Okayama City on September 22nd that were organized to promote the Winter National Sports Festival, which will be held in the Okayama Prefecture in January and February next year. After the talk show events the three natives of Okayama Prefecture (Misato is from Bizen and Daisuke and Keiji from Kurashiki) took this photo with Ms. Sasaki, headcoach of the Kurashiki FSC, which all three of them belonged to in the past:

It's been a long time. Three senior skaters from the Kurashiki Club got together.
Now that they have retired from active duty, they are getting together to make the national sport more exciting.

In a subsequent interview for Sanyo Shimbun the three skaters and Mitsunobu Kojima, chairman of the Okayama Prefectural Skating Federation, talked about the possibility/plan to hold an ice show in Okayama for the first time:

Machine translation:

Kojima, chairman of the Prefectural Skating Federation, talks about his vision for an ice show in Okayama within two years.
Komatsubara, Takahashi and Tanaka express their hopes for the ice show to be held in their hometown (from left to right).
At an event held in Okayama City on 22 September in support of the National Sports Winter Games (Okayama Prefecture, January-February next year), Mitsunobu Kojima, chairman of the Okayama Prefectural Skating Federation and representative of the Ryobi Group, excited the audience by declaring that an ice show would be held in Okayama within two years. After the event, Chairman Kojima told the Sanyo Shimbun about his concrete plan and his ambition to realise it. Three Olympians from Okayama, including former world figure skating champion Daisuke Takahashi (from Kurashiki City), who will be a ‘key person’ in the ice show, were also interviewed and expressed their hopes for their hometown to host the event.
"After the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver (where Daisuke Takahashi won the bronze medal), there was talk of having an ice show in Okayama", said Kojima. However, there is no skating rink in the prefecture that can accommodate a large number of spectators, so no progress has been made. Next year, Okayama Prefecture will host the Winter National Sports Festival, and he says that the local government and local people's awareness of skating has changed dramatically.
"The venue is to be covered with ice at a facility in Okayama City, and the list of possible venues has been narrowed down. Daisuke and other skaters from Okayama have worked hard, and this has spread the awareness that figure skating is a sport that represents Okayama and is a treasure. We want to show everyone in Okayama that they have really worked hard to get to this point", he says emphatically.
If the event can be realised, they will ask Daisuke Takahashi to produce it. Mr Takahashi says: "I wanted to do this at least once in my home town/prefecture. I want to convey the goodness and fun of skating, and I want to make it a show that is unique to me and different from others. (If it comes to fruition, I will do my best to make it happen.)"
Keiji Tanaka (from Kurashiki City), a member of the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics team, said: "It's a dream come true. I'm looking forward to realising it", while ice dancer Misato Komatsubara (from Bizen City), a silver medallist in the team competition at the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, said: "If it can be realised, I would love to perform. If there had been an ice show in Okayama when I was little, I would have been very happy and would have been motivated to work hard. I think it would have a positive impact on the children of Okayama."
If ice dancing is to be performed at the show, a ‘dream combination’ may also be realised. "There is a possibility that I and Komatsubara-san could team up, or Komatsubara-san and Keiji could team up", said Takahashi, who also spoke of a “plan” that would make fans’ expectations grow.
