I know it's a little early to make music suggestions for next season, but especially since so many programs this season have felt like trotting out the old warhorses/recycling programs and music from past years, it's been on my mind and I bet I'm not the only one fantasizing about programs to music that's never been used before or so rarely/unsuccessfully (such as a program that was ditched partway through the season) that it would still feel fresh and exciting.

I'll start by mentioning the theme from the 1995 remake of the movie Sabrina, which has a lovely theme by John Williams that is almost exactly the correct length for a free skate! I remember Eunsoo Lim had a program using it, but I don't think she kept it beyond a couple competitions, and I'm not aware of it being used by others. I think this would be a lovely program for Isabeau Levito, Rino Matsuike, or a similarly elegant skater who can project a certain bright hopefulness.

I would scream for joy of someone skated to Elena Kats-Chernin's Wild Swans

The second piece, Eliza's Aria, is the most famous part but there is much more to it, plenty to construct a brilliant program too.

Oh, and I will never stop mourning that I never got to see Yuzuru skating to the Tokyo Ghoul soundtrack, but I would happy to see someone (preferably someone with artistry) do it now

i know the Scorpions are all greatful to figure skating if they can afford confortable retirement homes, but i think David Gilmour deserves the same :ROFLMAO:

I get "video not available", was it deleted or is it geoblocking?

I'm not sure why it would be geoblocked. It's free music. No, it wasn't deleted.

I'm also getting the "video not available" message here in the UK. So, it must be geo-blocked for some reason.

I was curious as to what the music was, but alas it doesn't tell us when you click on the link. It just re-directs us to the YouTube homepage.

Even free music can be blocked sometimes, for instance if someone falsely or erroneously claims the copyright, or if there's some little copyrighted bit unnoticed by the author(s) but detected by Youtube's software made available to registered copyright holders...

Although not the same situation, I made a fan video a few weeks ago (the first one I had made for years), and it got blocked in four countries. Including one of the big markets for figure skating, Japan.

It's so frustrating. The hours I spent making the video (which were a lot, because I am not very confident or experienced at doing video editing), and then only to be told after I had uploaded it that it wouldn't be available everywhere.

It would be nice if YouTube could provide a button on the official videos that could tell you if there would be restrictions if you used that music / those pictures in a video. And then you could choose to use something more acceptable in advance before you make the video.

Sorry for going off topic.
