Just want to say thank you to everyone who responded to my questions and gave me thumbs ups (is 'ups' a word?)! I swear I'm the dumbest in technology and social media for my age of early 20s (Facebook used to be rocket science to me up until a year ago). I swear I am seeing your thumps ups/quoted replies in my dashboard only TODAY and I'm such a softie and so very easy to please that it warms my heart. Especially to @oatmella who actually welcomed me to Nathan's FF! Thank you all so much!
I also don't know if it's the place to share this, (probably not) but it's still somewhat related to Nathan, however loosely so here goes: hubby and I just found out today that we're having a little man. As I've mentioned before, future son will be named Nathan/Nathaniel. With my hubby being an 'Ed' and my real name starting with an 'N', we decided we'd name him Edmund Nathaniel. Mum thinks it's a hokey name combo, but hubby approved of it, even (or perhaps ESPECIALLY) the name 'Nathaniel' because he thinks, someday when our son asks his mum why we gave him the name that he has, I could tell him about "that Olympian kid you loved back in the day who went from near bottom of the pack to 5th place and also went to Yale."
Of course I can't put that kind of pressure on my child by telling him how great his namesake is! But I can't say I'm not tempted. I mean, I was named after a legendary gymnast and even though that did not turn me into an Olympic athlete or even a competent gymnast, she taught me perseverance and to strive for perfection, if anything!
Congratulations! Edmund Nathaniel is a beautiful name!
