read the translation, the last part is still confusing. some contradiction here and there.
to name one, in Phill's article, Raf is all about changing jump lay-out depends on how Nathan feels and what the competition is on the day, and he is so proud of that practice, now he is saying stick to the planned content regardless competition?
as for 4A, it is the Russian reporter brought it up, but Raf did admit that they are practicing it and it is a matter of condition...
over-all, he still sounds like he is just selling himself as a coach...
so about the future direction of Nathan's figure skating, still jump heavy, or more focused on components and GOE etc.
I don't know who is calling the shots now. Nathan will continue working with Raf, I think according to the Raf Russian interview, the so-called "advisors" are out (I could assume this russian interview is a sequel to the previous one, thus the "advisors" refers to Nathan's family. I really don't like this kinda bad-month of his students' family to media, whether it is true or not, especially when the other party is completely silent or even oblivious about this), And again, according to this interview, it seems Raf has confidence in Nathan's trust of him and he is the head coach oversees everything. thus I would assume it is Raf now calling shots.
So we will see, what role the choreographers and other specialist (e.g. SS if they even have one) will play in the coming season. Will they alter choreo and focus on jumps again.
tbh, I don't like skaters butcher choreographers' work... And choreographers usually have respect to those skaters who will realize their artistic vision. (re: TSL OG lady's recap with Tom Dickson)
And in many cases, seasoned skaters learned the most actually from the choreographer, for example, in Yuna's case she stayed in TCC for the sake of the choreographers there and kept her choreographer even after leaving TCC.
Also, Nathan could be the one to calling the shots. I don't think it is necessary a bad thing, we discussed before, Nathan needs to take ownership of his figure skating career. I just don't wanna Nathan to become the scapegoat whenever bad results happened in the future.
