- The opening 4Lz looked so good I preferred it over the planned 4Lz+3T. I checked the protocol and it was the element with the highest GOE. No surprise.

- The clapping during the step sequence didn't really work... haha. But I appreciate the audience's effort. They were hungry for some good skating!

- I always hate the half loop jump used in combinations because it looks like a step out, but somehow Nathan made it look so good and not look like a step out. I wonder why?

I think that opening solo 4lutz is planned from OG to worlds, they intended to do opening 4LZ in FS cos, the planed combo is 4T-3T in second half for10% bonus and Nathan's 4Lz has very good flow(and landing edge flow) maybe the best of all his quad jumps, can earn higher GOE on it self.

yes the rite of spring is not suited for clapping but appreciated Italian audience's enthusiastic.

yes Nathan's 3F-LO-3S is a thing of beauty, his OG outing this combo is even better, I always loved it so much and think it deserved higher GOE, why, is exactly his half loop is not just a step out, he flipped his whole upper body (straight in the air) for a half turn, that is how you do it.

I think just don't fit super well? If Vera pants' fit is an A+, these are like a C- lol.
They don't look like the same pants he wore in competition for all-black Nemesis. These look like normal pants and not the best for skating movement.

Is it possible these are the pants from his suit ?

maybe it is the same pants from his 2018 banquet. Talking about travel light.

since he will need formal suit/pants for that banquet, and fly straight from milano to osaka so he just used that wrinkled white shirt for one EX and the black pants for another

yes, he packed very light. one shirt, one pair of pants, one suit jacket, a tie, one pair of dress shoes, two long sleeve Nike t-shirts (grey graphic and teal), lucky utah jazz t-shirt, soft grey nike jacket, black Nike sweatshirt, regulation USFS jacket, black and grey nike sweats, one pair black jeans, camouflage t, one pair of Nikes, one pair converse, one pair new non-holey Nike gloves, socks etc, COLOGNE ...

yes it is camera shutter sound, I would not think Lori will be so literal as to put gun shot sound into the program music to hint Cultural Revolution. Lori is not Eteri.

yes that little waltz jump was arranged at the quite part of Nathan's FS, if you sit close enough like the judges, you can actually hear Nathan's blade edge sound during that part, like he is making the music (fill in the blank using his blade sound), it is an absolute genius idea, yet Nathan take it out in 2018 worlds comp. it was still there in OG FS.

you can watch Patrick's Elegy to understand what I mean, it was real figure skating artistry (I felt it live in person), not some "pretty words to trick people".

So glad James Arthur now knows of his interpretation piece, in no time, Nathan will have fans across different industries who appreciate his talent and may follow his skating career, like one fan said he has best taste in music his ever growing music library is an exciting bonus for music lovers like myself, ahh he’s just has it all! So happy to see non-FS fans appreciating his raw performances through another lens without the technical critique.

@oatmella you should stop by next time It seems nowadays the teens are quite exposed to different music genres through social media and local indie festivals (so many here) the music tastes are definitely more seasoned. Oh yeah those back kicks are mmm mmm good! Then he ends it with that twizzle single leg camel spin, masterful. I’ll probably be moved to the brink of tearing when he returns next season with improved SS (no doubt) and two marvelous programs. Waiting for his music selection is like waiting for the finale of your fav show.
