Nathan Chen

Molly Yeh is a ‘celebrity’ herself - so I think should be ok :). The cake looks pretty!

POLAR BEAR ONESIE ❄️ - NATHAN NEEDS TO WEAR IT 🔥❄️

hmm wonder why the Chens were separated and what’s with his hand wrap - looks a little unnatural or something

yyyskate - haha your hashtag reminds me of the rather depressing movie Never Let Me Go

I think the Chens is separated in M&G is due to the rumors that is floating around lately, SOI or USFS wanna no rumors around them, but in the end they don't care themselves thus the "hand wrap" in the group photo.
and this photo is from Karen's story. so.

I kr that is not a very good tag:p I never watched "never let me go" a quick google, I like the leading actress.

let's see what will happen with #2Chenz in the future.

Some intersting article about SOI

https://bevsmithwrites.com/2018/05/06/stars-on-ice-becomes-hot-ticket/

Ogden says the shows are averaging about 10,000 spectators, flocking to see Nathan Chen, who redeemed himself after a troubled Olympic short program by winning the Olympic free program and then the world title a month later; and other members of the U.S. Olympic bronze medal-winning team. (.....)

Even so, Allen said the U.S. tour is up 15 per cent over the 2014 tour that followed the Sochi Games. “We are pleased by this, considering that {Meryl] Davis and [Charlie] White won gold in Sochi,“ he said.

Good one! I read elsewhere that the mix of young people doubled from previous years. It doesn't surprise me, given the number of screaming teen fans  .

hmm - I don’t know if SOI would care about rumors - they did post that photo on IG of them together with the Quad King poster.

Whatever is or isn’t happening (not speculating here!) - guessing they won’t be spending as much time together after the shows are over. Like a summer camp type thing - often things are different when you return to your regular life - haha.

The article also mentions other skaters like Adam and Mirai, both of whom have received a lot of publicity since the Olys.

I didn't follow the 2014 tour but this year's SOI for sure feels younger, fresher, and more exciting compared to last year's. I've heard people complain that some programs were "too sexy" and that they "never heard of any of the songs, except for Frank Sinatra" so I guess it must be moving in the right direction!

The show is definitely moving in the right direction. We need fresh blood. I frankly lost interest in figure skating the last few years. It just felt so out-dated. I'm excited to see new people being attracted to the sports, be it show or competition.

that is why GS Nathan's FF should also move in the right direction to tolerate more fangirling talk here.
who are we talking about, it is Nathan:love::luv17:

Thanks for sharing Hollymolly, an interesting one. To SkatingMusic reply, it’s good news to have young people doubled as they are the soon-to-be main audience population and market driving force, they can push the social media needle to promote the sport. I think another attraction is Adam’s voice for the lgbt community and the Shibs are definitely a few folds more popular this OG year around, hope it continues to gain momentum.

Nathan being an introvert as many, many people are (in the entertainment & sports world) it doesn’t mean his gestures are uncomfortable or odd, we as fans may place a different shade when viewing and he may be very comfortable with his gestures. With 2chenz, no official reason why they were split up in m&g and I don’t believe an organizer like IMG is this overly sensitive with social media chitchat, it wasn’t even a big deal, only random harmless chats. It’s fun to guess, in the end what happens to chenz stays in chenz world, I just hope they’re all happy and healthy.

The cake is still on my mind 😋

I believe they do communicate in real regular life to earn that friendship, maybe not by the public known schedule, they are private people :)

Yup. Like the wide age range of Nathan fans, may the sport reach that place!

If you’re referring to the fan who travel from Japan to lots of his competitions internationally, she’s on a different level. She may have the means to expense this much to follow him around the world, that’s kind of the Japanese idol culture I came to learn, and driving hours for the youngsters is quite impressive as well considering they’re still in school and such.

i hope nathan knows that fan well, otherwise wow

I would assume the Chens do the normal friendship stuff like communicate etc. - I only meant they may not physically be together as much after the shows end (at the same location, not speculating here!). They don’t train together, aren’t doing the rest of the summer shows together (correct me if I’m wrong), aren’t going to attend the same college.

Just like Nathan hasn’t been with Raf as much - due to geography/location. Doesn’t mean they don’t communicate, etc. either.

Anyways ... seems that many are interested to attend SOI this year who haven’t seen past shows. Myself included!

After seeing some other talents people posted, I added skateboarding and ice basketball lol

Haha, good job, Mamamiia

As bonus for your nice writeup/summary, here is video I am not sure if you watched before, but I am sure you would enjoy watching even if you watched before. Maybe one day you could add music production.;)

And in case you haven't watched this video from last worlds before, here was another one which I couldn't stop laughing every time I watched it.

I was trying to find that video I mentioned about physics class for Heyheyhey, but couldn't find it. Instead found the bookmarks of these two. An introvert could be a little talkative.:hap93:
