Nathan Chen

I'm glad. Though it's super frustrating not to have more practice information. Jackie has me spoiled.

He makes me want to nap, but yeah he's thriving.

Being at school seems to have made him truly appreciate skating and competing - and all the moments it brings.

Guess WTT is another break from school:)

I miss Jackie’s practice notes!

Sounds like it ... though they didn’t provide any detail.

Maybe we underestimated Nathan - who can apparently maintain good physical condition despite light/minimal training and no Raf.

Thinking about next season programs already! For summer shows! And more Shae! (maybe, well I think it'll work out) Well, I'm excited.

I’m sure it will work out with Shae! Wonder if he will ever get a long program from her though.

Kind of hope he doesn’t go back to Marie-France and Sam for choreo :slink:

I'm conflicted about that. I'm not an expert or anything but it seems like his skating skills and edge work improved this season, and I kinda think Montreal had something to do with that.

I'm fine with Shae doing the short. Caravan seemed to require a lot of energy, I don't think he can keep it up in a FS.

Same. The hip-hop dance in the long program is good, but one time is enough.

Ditto :slink: The choreo sequence of LoA is very cool, though. It just gets tricky to look at when he's off even a little bit timing-wise. To me it just felt like M-F D. and Sam banked on the popping-and-locking sequence to deliver all the impact of the program. I'm very conflicted. I still love it a lot and I do think it's a gorgeous program, but I heartily agree that he works with someone else for the LP. Mayhap Jeff Buttle? I don't mind a new Lori Nichol LP either.

Tom Dickson for the long program, please! He always surprise everyone.:luv17: Or go back to Lori Nichol. The first edition of MLD is really amazing! Todd Edlredge works at the same rink with team RAF now. Hope he can give some help with the skating skills.

I don't think he'll reuse Sam and Marie-Francis. I wouldn't mind Tom Dickson. I liked the programs he did this year.

I like Lori Nichol but I'd rather he not go back to her just yet.

I thought Lori’s long program for Marin this season was really beautiful, and she really put a lot of thought and creativity into Mao’s Last Dancer ... but I don’t see him returning to get another program from her quite this soon.
