Nathan Chen

Apparently he was vomiting after practice today:(:(

How do you know?
Wow, I thought this was 'just' a cold, but now his stomach is upset too? Maybe a reaction to medication and/or jetlag?
Well, he's no stranger to having stomach issues at competition... :rolleye:

But this isn't that bad and it'll hopefully teach him to take it a bit more easy in the future.

Nathan's 4S is a textbook one-foot takeoff technique (timing has to be right), a beauty, unlike most others' two-foot takeoff technique.

I recall reading on the real x-monster tumblr that Nathan uses the ‘scooping’ technique for his salchow, which is more common among ladies.

The Axel Streak!! Here for a good time not a long time - lol

13/14 is still very good!!

Poor baby.:no: I wonder what happened. He did look quite tired yesterday but sounded so confident about feeling perfectly fine. The vomiting could just be due to extreme fatigue. Hopefully he wouldn't push himself to cheer for his teammates tomorrow if he's not feeling up to it -- much as I enjoy seeing him laugh and good around. :sad46::sad46:

I heard from a Japanese fan - they were very concerned about him :(

His mind may want to stay super busy, but his body has its limits.

It was all over Japanese twitter that he got pretty sick. They were really really concerned.

I'm sure jumping and spinning doesn't help when you don't feel good either.

Awesome! I was voting for both him and Alina :luv17:

I hope he gets some rest. Tomorrow he can chill and just have fun.

rewatching his FS, the 3lz at the end was really pretty

That left just the double world champion to go, and he started well with an effortless quad toeloop into triple toeloop combination the early highlight.

But Chen all but fell on a triple Axel and the lower difficulty of his routine compared to his Saitama free skate meant it would be a close call for the winner.

And the 19-year-old's superior presentation marks saw him score 199.49 for a double triumph in Fukuoka to cap a wonderful season.

I read more detailed tweet but I can’t find it. Before leaving the practice session, Keiji Tanaka saw Nathan was vomiting 😢😢

Poor boi... I hope he rests and recover fast. It looks like he suffered from the illnesses entire season.

There was also an account of him having to lean against the wall as he left the ice, and then sitting down for awhile before eventually leaving.
