Nathan Chen

NBC's upload of the program
Those were all so touching and heartwarming. Thank you @sheetz for always doing great work (even while I stopped posting for several years). I would never see half of these things without you.

Of course our boy did it, did you have any doubt? An amazing 4 years of dominance. Honestly glad I’m his fan because this was the most stress free Olympic quad I’ve experienced as a skating fan since I knew he’d win everything 😂. Michelle used to give me some real heart attacks sometimes, with Nathan it was a much smoother ride haha. So thanks Nate for your consistency.

Also happy for Team Raf. I know he loves Nathan like his own son so I hope he enjoys this moment as much as Nathan does, he put in a ton of work to develop and support our boy and the whole team has done an amazing job. Now they can sit back and enjoy the rest of the Olympics. Hopefully he still goes to Worlds so he can end the journey of this quad how it started, as World Champ.

That's a great piece by Jackie. It was such a good idea to come early too. He was able to slowly get over nerves and figure out what he needed to do. I also love the Yuzu arrives "it's game time" observation too. I noticed that too when it happened, but he always seems to up his game when Yuzu is around. Nathan's final form.

I am just so happy that Nathan had So. Much. FUN! He kept saying that his goal was to enjoy skating, and this Rocketman skate at the 2022 Olympics will forever be the most extrovert-ish example of that. It was so wrapped up in the pure joy of skating, the joy and relief at hitting his quads and his other spectacular technique:points:, and the incredible happiness at overcoming the 'demon' of 2018.

No one deserves this combination of personal feelings, the emotions and pride shared with all of his fans, and personal pride of accomplishment as much as Nathan does. Nerves of steel wrapped inside one awesome human being.

I have lots of beloved favorites still to skate in the next 10 days. But Beijing will forever be Nathan Chen's Olympics!:bsplit:

Stars on Ice is from April to May. He’d have to do it while on tour.

Honestly, I‘m not ready to say good bye. my personal wish is that he would do an Aljona and Bruno and head to worlds to take home one more title. But OGM often struggle with worlds right after the games, so it’s up to him.
Many others have done it while on tour with SOI: Lysacek, Davis/White, Rippon, Nagasu. It's do-able.

Were you asking or doubting me and my message above in anyway. I didn't come here because I wasn't cheering Nathan on for the last decade or so. ;)

So glad that Nathan could enjoy the moment – so many emotions on display! When hugging Raf, you could see how much it meant to him. His two flips and lutz were gorgeous and done with such ease. Minor flaws here and there, but who cares? He was such a joy to watch!

Loved the article by Jackie. It’s good to have someone write about him that actually knows skating. It’s also wonderful that all 3 programs on YouTube are garnering so many views (currently, 3.3 million for his individual SP alone). Not too shabby!

Probably the fastest Nathan has ever updated his IG page after a victory!

And I agree with Jackie about the 4Lz. I don't think anyone else in the World has such mastery of it that they can tap in to the beat of the music the way he did.
