Neuchatel Trophy 2021 cancelled

The annual Neuchatel Trophy in Switzerland, which doubles as the Swiss Senior and Junior Synchro Championships and was scheduled for 12-13 February 2021, has been cancelled due to the local and international COVID-19 situations. The cancellation letter (in French) is here and a translation is below:

Dear Skaters, Coaches, Team Leaders, Federations, Officials,
It is with a heavy heart that the Organizing Committee of the Tissot Neuchâtel Trophy, in agreement with the SYS commission of Swiss Ice Skating, had to resolve to make the difficult decision to cancel the 2021 edition of the Tissot Neuchâtel Trophy and the Swiss Junior & Senior ISU Championships.
The current situation in our canton and our country linked to the Covid-19 pandemic has left us with no other choice. Swiss Ice Skating is examining the possibility of an alternative for the organization of the Swiss Championships in the Junior & Senior ISU categories.
The health restrictions in force, and the uncertainty of the beginning of 2021, unfortunately do not allow us to maintain the organization of and plan an event of such a scale. It is above all thanks to the work of our passionate volunteers that our competition exists and our priority is of course to protect their health and that of the competitors.
We thank all the teams registered to date and inform them that the registration fees that have already been paid will of course be reimbursed in full. We wish you all good health and the best continuation of the teams in the current season, hoping that they will find a way to keep their energy and the joy of training in the best possible way.
