New Surivior Show

MM, must not be reading this thread or watching this season.

That is really sad for Gary, he really seems to love this game. It might be he didn't know what he was really in for, he doesn't seem to have that happy healthy skin indicating he has circulatory issues. Papa just doesn't seem to be healthy enough to take the kind of beating that this show will put on you. I wonder if he did train for this before he went?

I did forget to say I hate food challenges but this was one of the best for there were only 2 things I hadn't eaten. It was impressive that Rocky got that whole clam down, wow. Anthony's attempt at the pig snout was pathetic, he has got to be the least inspiring of any player I can recall on this show. The hardest thing to swallow IMO would have been the fish eyes. They are really sticky - cling to your throat and have so much fishy flavor, they could be one of the most disgusting things - taste and texture wise - that anyone eats.

What about that first challenge? Didn't appear to be any Ice Skaters in the group.

Their next weeks preview didn't say anything about the immunity idol so I don't think the tribe picked up on why Sylvia was digging. Hello Ravu, did you think she was regressing back to her childhood days of playing in the sand box?

BTW STACY ROCKS!!!!!

All I thought during the reward challenge was 'Did none of these people have a slip'n'slide? Was it Sylvia who did a short slide and then tried to swim forward for several seconds going nowhere?

Oh, well! The only person I might like is Michelle, but only because she started fire.

Long ago I wrote the Survivor forum - via a coworker who was into the show at that time - about how stupid I thought one of first seasons was, because they were sitting around wondering how to start fire and one of the contestants was saying this with glasses on his face sitting in the sun of the Australian outback holding his bible as his "comfort" item. If that doofis couldn't figure it out he didn't deserve to be on the show.

 I can't believe everyone isn't cheering for Stacy!????

Yes, it was Sylvia. My DH looked at her and said "what in the he** is she trying to do"

Ugh, they brought a food challenge back.

Overall, I'm getting kind of bored with this season...so far anyway. I like the people on the losing tribe better than the winning tribe....and despite that they are winning challenges and immunity, it seems there is less coverage of the winning tribe (Yes, I haven't remembered the tribe names yet! :frown2: ) I have no idea who I'm pulling for yet. The only people I'm remember really well are "papa Smurf", Michelle, Sylvia and the older Asian gentleman. Of the 4 I'm remembering, I so far like Michelle and the older Asian gentleman best.

It might make it more interesting if the losing tribe were to win immunity & then switch camps with the Moto tribe. Interesting social experiment to spoil the one tribe & then deprive them. Take away their flint & put out the fire, etc.. Let them have a taste of starvation & dehydration.

I agree that the tribe that wins reward should get the luxury camp. As much as I am not caring for this season's Apprentice, Trump is making the losing team camp outside and the winning team gets to sleep insde the house.

When Sylvia picked the 2 teams it looked like she split them to be one stronger than the other but the one she thought would be the weakest is the strongest.
And she got put on the weak team, I think the rason she couldn't find the idol where she was digging she was sitting on it. It will be interesting to see if anyone else statrs digging and finds it without ever getting any clues. Do they not get a rashion of beans and rice anymore? As for the food challenges I wouldn't even try

Heyang, is Apprentice not on this week and are they moving day and time?? I couldn't find then in the TV guide this week. Thought you might know.

According to my TV Guide, The Apprentice is not on this week but will be on at 10pm EST as of March 4th.

Lately, I've been more into Desparate Housewives. Apprentice is typically re-aired on MSNBC and CNBC throughout the week; so, I tend to let TiVo catch it on a rerun - usually Tuesdays at 1AM.

BTW, MerryWidow is correct - the next new episode is March 4th at 10PM. I'm still letting TiVO get it since I watch Brothers & Sisters at 10PM Sunday's.

Going BOT here. Trying to make up for the times I go off. :agree:

I like Rita, but I think that it is time to start "requiring" clothing that is not letting things fall out all the time. Her top is one of the stupidest pieces of apparel I have ever seen used during a "physical" challenge. Particularly a woman with kids. "Look children, when I know I am going to run, I am going to wear a top that mommies breast will come flopping up and out of. Oh and if it gets wet it stretches down to show my nipples and I'll look even better then the girls a Hooters during a wet t-shirt contest."

Maybe I don't like Rita???? Ah, one flaw to overlook, I should not be so sensitive. Really I think woman baring their chests in general should be taken in the same way as men, but I know that a majority of viewers in the USA - where the contestants generally are from and target audience - don't feel the same. Pretty sure that is against the law:laugh: So why would the show say, "that top will be perfect wear it."???? I know... but they could say that top should not be worn. Same with the guys and their shorts. I don't think it would be a issue to the challenge to just supply them with a belt that could keep them from "plumber crack'n" the prime-time viewing audience.....

Wait! That is what they want? Jeff you dirty perpetuating little creep!

I agree Sean, Rita's top left a lot to be desired or not???  It seems like she didn't even know they came popping out.

LOL at the comments about the attire. It sure does seem some of the women are STILL trying to dress for fashion rather than sensible for the situation and/or comfort!!!
Why don't they put that "can't see it" blocky thing over their bottoms, though? My DH really enjoys the buns popping out of the bathing suit/shorts bottoms the women wear.:sheesh:

I have seen it once on a lady and a number of times on the guys. But it just prevents the crack not the cheeks - not having a problem from my own "viewing," but the implications and such does kind of bother me. Ya know, kids and stuff. I just don't think it is the right place but don't think that when I am watching, just in after thought.;) Last season Candice had the most ....welll... I don't know how to say it, "butt filled the screen" as she was bending over climbing onto a dock." It looked like a shot from Maxum Magazine. I 'spose it gets ratings so I am sure it is not "discouraged" by Jeffy.

Do you think the Survivors are told what the challenges will be like..........say for instance, the challenge, you'll be running and falling?? If so, then there's no reason they shouldn't dress for the part. Comments.........please.

I would think anyone trying out for the show would KNOW there will be all sorts of physical challenges that would require running, squatting and being filmed in some of the most unattractive positions!;)

I agree with the clothes but as we all know they don't get to bring a change of clothes. Can they layer their clothes befor the game starts? example underwear, swimsuite onver that, pair of shorts and tee-**** over that then pair of long pants and warmer top over that.

True, but I'm always amazed when people on the show can't swim. With the exception of Africa, every Survivor has had several swimming challenges. Remember when Osten needed to be saved?
