New Survivor Show

That bird incident was just RUDE. I wish it had been a bigger, more aggresive breed of bird that would have pecked his face off. What is WRONG with some people?

I like how they ambushed JP, too; he was starting to get just a little too sure of himself. Plus he could have turned into another Colby (from the Australia edition), winning all the immunity challenges time after time once they merged into one tribe. The time to get rid of people like that is EARLY.

Either I have been completely oblivious, or someone has been playing WAY under the radar so far, because until this week, I was completely unaware that Brad was even on the island......  I was like, who's THAT guy? Tho one thing I have noticed in general about this edition is that every episode seems to have one or two people who barely make their presence felt at all. Have we even heard ONE word out of Christina since the tribe redivision??

I like Rebecca the best so far; Adam is a "local boy" from my area so I'm sort of rooting for him, but I think he could turn into another JP. Jonathan I flat out can't stand ("instant pushy" does not play well with me), and not crazy about Puvarti, either. I think Candice is going to be one who gets to the final 4 by just being cute and perky and looking nice in her little tube top -- every edition has to have one, you know......

That is what I thought and was asking because I didn't see that name on the site or credits. I had heard it too, but wasn't sure. This week was the first week I had watched with out people around that talk during. I missed half of the first one too:frown: - our croquet match went a little long and lost track of time.

I really do like her too, she has a open and independent way about her and I have always thought it would be interesting to check out the Burning Man fest - people watch as well as events. I wasn't to crazy about the last "fire artist" but Jessica seems cool.:agree:

I also thought messing with the bird was just wrong and suprise the bird didn't attact cowboy. Usalllay if you mess with baby birds the mother will abandon them.

My favorites so far are Rebecca, my person in our work game, Cristina and Yul. Does it count if I liked looking at J.P???

Just curious, I don't understand????
At work, we have several people who pick a survivor and that becomes their person. It's fun. We can get into some pretty good arguments over the game. The winner wins $100.00.

The runner up get $50, 3rd place $25 and we have other things like 1st person to Exile Island, 1st person on jury.

No real surprise to me, it seems this one has a little bit more of the "so you indicate you want to go eh?" in it. Not my idea of a good strategy - I say keep them around so they are no threat later, but this should improve the "competitive aspects" of the game - make it a tighter match. More interesting to watch at least.

I feel like such a putz, Pravanti is growing on me. Am I that sad and sappy? Well Jess and Nate are still faves and hope they continue. I think I would like Becky more if she wasn't the "Asian Attorney" - same as my ex. She is playing a low radar and waiting for an opp as far as I can tell - good strat.

It's actually PUVARTI, isn't it? Seems to me it's pronounced "poverty", which I find rather amusing, given her personality.....

We're close. - well you are more then I.

It does seem that her name is pronounced "poverty" when I hear Jeff saying it. I am sure her parents found some name meaning something and went with it not necessarily thinking - or maybe they did. But I think it is a little strange myself.:agree:

Actually, I think YOU were closer; but then again I should have either looked it up or just shut up.  Actually, she strikes me as the type who changed it herself just to be perceived as offbeat and original. Perhaps her and Janu (from whatever edition Janu was on; they're all starting to run together after all this time) could go into some sort of business together.

I think you are likely correct on that, I mean even if your name was "Constance Cheaters" you could come up with something a little less of the ....well I think you know what I mean. ?

"Parvati" is a big time Hindu goddess, daughter of the Himalayas and second wife of Lord Shiva, god of death, destruction and resurrection.

"Namaste" goddess of the isle:bow: Well maybe not. I never would have guessed due to the fact she is not east indian. But that does seem to fit the way she feels about herself.

"Dhanyavaad" MM, you are a wealth of info. :agree: Clears up where she came up with it. I wonder if she does the water ceremony to Shiva?

I guess to finish my sentence..."come up with something less pretentious." There is one girl I knew who should have changed her name to Aphrodite. That's it, I am changing my name to Akio!

The saddest thing is I still am looking forward to the aspect of seeing her smile Thursday. Inter pride - good or bad - can create a nice looking smile I 'spose.

Sean, I could be wrong but last week she was pronouncing her name for Cowboy and she was saying Parvati. He was having a hard time pronoucing the "r" in her name.
