Really..? That's gorgeous? Good effort maybe... It looks under-rotated to me and in comparison to the only man in the world that can rightfully do a 4Lz, it's frankly just not up to par.

Maybe, but compared to Adam's beautifully constructed free skate, the man with the "rightful" 4Lz frankly doesn't have a program that's up to par. (Notice I said "program", not series of jumps. A series of quads interrupted by hand waving is not a program. Poor Boyang deserves better).

Maybe, but compared to Adam's beautifully constructed free skate, the man with the "rightful" 4Lz frankly doesn't have a program that's up to par. (Notice I said "program", not series of jumps. A series of quads interrupted by hand waving is not a program. Poor Boyang deserves better).

Yet compared to the Worlds medal contenders, Adam's programs pale as limited by his skating skills. There lies his problem: He has nice jumps, nice SS, and nice performance, but nothing to put him in the top tier. The young man with the 4Lz and a series of quads, OTOH, is near and threatening to be on the podium if any of the very top Men lets up.

Tons of thanks to everyone on site who took the time to be our eyes and ears on the ground for Worlds! It's been great reading what everyone posted so far.

I'm joining the train of gratefulness - despite my jealousy, I'm so glad for all of you participating in this great event live, all your reports live from arena/from practice venue, from off-rink places/eateries etc. make me feel like I'm there also

Who knows, what ever it is. It works. I'd also love to see how the Russian Skaters learn to perform as well as they do. I don't mean just smiling. Plushy and Yagudin were both like actors on the ice and My wife Maria B. was the same way.

YES. They both are extremely small. Shoma can barely see over the boards, Satoko can't even Let's just say I had my lens fully extended at all times for Satoko no matter how close she was to me With Shoma I at least had to back off my zoom a couple of times!
