complex entry into triple twist- very well done, I think bonus marks for entry
overhead lift- a bit slow, clean
overhead lift- went into platter, complex exit, nicely done
forward inside death spiral- slow, change of position
throw triple loop- not much height, landed clean
side by side double axel- he steps out of, she falls
overhead lift- multiple change of positions, ends in carry
side by side spins- lacking speed, lacking unision too, interesting positions
spiral sequence- the problem is everything they are doing is lacking speed
footwork sequence- very tenative, struggling with unision a bit
pairs spins- nice positions, decent speed on something for once

This team needs SPEED, speed, speed. They just dont have enough, both in the overall performance or in their technical elements.

overhead lift- very nice positions, nicely done
throw triple salchow- might have had hand down a bit, pretty nice
back inside death spiral- well done, nice position
side by side triple salchows- underrotating and falling, will be a downgrade I think
overhead lift- very nice, very nice position by her
side by side spins- started a bit out of sync but got back by the end
throw triple loop- clean, well done
spiral sequence- nicely done
footwork sequence- lots of changes in direction
star lift- a bit slow, carry at the end, complex dismount
pair spin- nicely done

I would be very surprised if they dont pass the Russians, but also very surprised if they caught the Germans with this performance.

side by side triple toes into double axels- beautiful, great unision
triple twist- very tight on landing, well done in air
overhead lift- very complex, many different positions, great
side by side triple salchows- he singled, she put hand down
side by side spins- flying entry, way off unision in the middle
pair spins- nicely done
spiral sequence- ok
overhead lift- very interesting position by her, stagged quite a bit
back outside death spiral- her position is uggg, change in edge for bonus
footwork sequence- very interesting, seperating then closing up again, lots of changes
star lift- very nice
throw triple salchow- very nice, nice flow on landing

Definitely the gold medal performance

I think they did enough to beat Jess and Bryce. I'll be surprised if they're not put in 1st. They have beautiful positions - both of them.

My impression:

S&S had a very good performance, very strong, but this long program really does not suit their style, they have to reply on SP to put some distance between them and other strong competitors at the worlds. Their 3S is a new element, and I doubt very much they can land it reliably.

D&D a very much hyped team. They remind me of S&P. They don't have technical difficulty, don't have consistency(have not done a clean lp at international competitions for how long?), nothing interesting about their transitions, elements, a very generic pair. All they have is so-called 'chemistry'. I'm actually pretty sick and tired of them being held up by the judges.

K&S: very mediocre... slow... many of their elements are really horrific... definitely not contenders for world medals.

Anabelle LANGLOIS / Cody HAY: This is a team I really like. Good technical content, 2 sets of triples, wonderful lifts etc. they are starting to gel really well as a pair... I am so disappointed and furious that they've been held down by judges in PCS. IMHO, they are at least as good as D&D. If I were the judge, I would have given them a silver.

I was dissapointed in the Germans long program a bit. Not nearly as strong presentation wise as their short. The side by side triple salchows dont look like a reliable jump for them. I am a bit worried for their prospect for the World title with this program. They need some work on it.

Agree with you mostly but K/S L/H comment. The reason K/S ahead is the content, even sloppily executed they are all moslty level 4 and innovative. Problem is that they are not capable of executing them cleanly and that's reflected in the scores. L/H are lovely pair and definitely not worse than D/D content wise but still needs to up difficulty. When I watch them I feel like I am in 90s.
