Missed most of Volosozhar/Morozov due to feed problems...it sounds like they did well, though, and what I saw (3Twist, lifts) all looked very good. Oof, nevermind...I just got it again on a NASTY fall on the Throw 3S...SLSS was quite interesting though. Death spiral had good speed, as did pairs spin. They don't look too happy.
In the kiss n' cry, he was still in pain cutting more of his clothing off, seems like a circulation problem with crazy tight clothing. But she didn't seem to care at all, just staring straight ahead and not at him.
The ESPN commentators have talked repeatedly about them fighting a lot in practice, and in Russian articles Vasiliev has stated that this has been one of their biggest problems. Apparently it's better than it used to be, but they're still not the warmest pair towards each other.
I wish Volosozhar would find a better partner.
100.42 - 159.95 overall gets them 5th. Not a great season for them after a breakout year last year.
Yes, they fight often. Lots of intensity on that team. I hope they can recover, they still salvaged at least a decent score but they will obviously be disappointed to finish well off the podium and as the Russian #2 team.
Nice to hear that P/T skated so clean! Saving their best performance for the end of the season. IMO, they are always undermarked - except for when they won their Worlds title a couple years ago. In Calgary, they actually had a total of about 186 (same as today), but on that occasion they had a fall! It's also a big deal for her to complete a 3T (fully rotated, I wonder) and a 2A + 2A sequence. They'll probably get bronze, even if they are the cleanest in the end.

I thought they were terribly undermarked at the 2006 Olympics. They deserved the silver, not Zhang squared.
Bizarre. And strange circulation problem with the new outfit? I guess that's a sign not to switch outfits right before Worlds if you're not used to it yet.
It's too bad because I really like their FS to Rachmaninov.

Wow Rena and John are guarateed no lower then and 8th place finish. Not bad for it being their second or third competition of the year. I think the US will keep their two spots in pairs?
Oh, absolutely. They were great in Torino and had the crowd won over by far! Definitely deserved silver, or at least bronze. I think their Worlds title the next month in Calgary was like an apology by the judges, but it still wasn't fair that they were robbed in Torino.
