Pairs Short Program at 3:00pm EST

Lol. According to the announcer, Rudi Swiegers loaned his skate to a competitor after a "distressful skate breakdown". What incident is she referring to?

Go Mark and Amanda and Paige and Rudi!

I don't think I can watch Sui and Han's SP again. It is the same
program from last season and it is very cute but for me I have
had enough.

He lent a skate to Mark Ladwig after something happened to it. I think the blade broke off. Then Ladwig and Evora continued their program, thanks to Rudi. This was last year at 4CCs.

He lent it to Mark when Mark's skate broke during last season's competition.

Oh, I remember. The heel of Mark's boot completely separated from the boot itself, didn't it? And Rudi gave him his boots so they could finish the program.

This pair may not have the technical chops of the others, but thus far I have liked their presentation/pcs the most. Jmho.

Takahashi & Tran (always very elegant)

manadatory Takahashi fall on the SBS jumps

3Tw with a really high catch

Really great complex lift with lovely air positions

That flip entry into the death spiral is amazing, and yet doesn't detract from the spiral itself!!!

61.54 into 3rd

Sigh, this last pair keeps making me think of Donlan & Speroff and their troubles, especially Gretchen's, difficulty with the sbs jumps. :(

ALLRIGHT, they still scored pretty big, a positive for D&S!

Tran/Takahashi have an awesome entrance into the death spiral. Beautiful skate. Why are the judges so stingy with the PCS?

Wow, they are so quick...I love how they were just skating along, and suddenly he just grabs her and chucks her into the air. No telegraphing with this pair!

BRAVO, I LOVE THIS PAIR, FIRST PLACE BY A MILE!!!!

They make me think of the old argument "passion versus perfection" or "apples versus oranges". If they were skating against Donlan & Speroff with the same exact elements and everything else the same as well, I would go with perfection, but I wish I could give two gold medals. :)

Sui and Han

The same hoedown routine they do in both jr and sr
Costumes must be the 3rd version ;)

Can I say I am very tired of this program? They have exceeded my cuteness threshold.

However, they completed everything very well and will no doubt lead

66.75 new SB in 1st, but not outtasight.
