I would not be surprised if Mukhartova/Trankov come from behind to beat Pang/Tong.

My thoughts:

Zhang/Zhang- very good technical performance. As many others have pointed out bogus score. Atleast 4 points too high.

Pang/Tong- they look sloppy this year and not up to challenging the Germans or Zhang/Zhang (particularly with their overscoring).

Mukhartova/Trankov- much much improved, I would have placed them 2nd over Pang/Tong. It looks like the Chinese are the ones with the political power in pairs to get beneficial judging like the Russians used to.

It's always nice to see an American win a medal but if a truly good skater wins, I support that and praise it.

That was a beautiful program! Not just for Zhang/Zhang. Hard to beat by anyone. Her line and presentation improved so much and her moves has more tension and expression now. And their SBS spin was perfectly in syncuntil the last moment, should be able to get that fixed next time, I hope. I didn't make any comment when I saw their marks but after I saw the video, they deserved it, every single bit. I'm starting to have faith in them now. Who knows, maybe one day I can even add them to my favourite list

I found their program quit interesting choreographically. The program suits their style.
I just hope that they will continue to improve their presentation skills beside technical skill.
