I just watched the downloads, and there was some very impressive skating. Petrova/Tikhonov's Handel SP rocks Dube/Davison have a wonderful program by David Wilson, and I'm really looking forward to seeing this live at Canadian Nationals.

The couple that I was really impressed with was Shestakova/Lebedev. She's only 17, and while they aren't completely polished, they are remarkably in synch with each other. They did beautiful SBS pairs spins that were almost perfect until the very last position, and then they weren't that far off. Although she fell on the SBS 3T's, their timing going into them was spot on. With two Russian pairs likely to retire at the end of this season, I hope that they and Borzenkova/Chivuyaev join Obertas/Slavnov on the Russian Worlds team next season.

I think Dube and Davison are doing exceptional on their first Grand Prix season. I have to be honest, I didn't think they would do this well because usually junior teams have a harder time stepping up to senior. Good for them!
