2025 Cup of China Pairs Short Program

WOW?! So, this is where we are now with our feelings toward corrupt judging: “So what?” What new scoring system is going to be developed once further judging scandal strikes in Milan? 6.0 judging didn’t work. COP judging isn’t working. Are we going to revert back to not disclosing which nation each judge represents because that went over so well the initial time. 😡 Maybe figure skating will finally be stripped from the Olympic movement altogether since there are numerous nations that refuse to play fairly and the judging has lost all integrity.

Is biased judging something new in sports?

Does it mean it should be accepted and people shouldn't make a fuss over an incorrect technical call because it isn't new?

It gave a team 8.8 points that they should not have received and made a difference in Zhang/Huang being on the podium. That's world standing points, Grand Prix standings and prize money that they are not receiving because a lift that should not have been valid was called incorrectly. It makes a difference for them when this event is part of the Chinese Olympic selection criteria.

It may be "So what?" to you, but it isn't for the other teams who are doing the required elements and are seeing that another team is being rewarded for not doing them.

Well said. Cheating, doping, abuse can not be tolerated or dismissed with a year or two suspension. In any sport.
