bummer to see Brooke and Ben so far down... but I have confidence they'll pull up in the long. They're good.![]()
Strange that both the newly crowned American and Canadian champs would be so far down in the standings. Meanwhile, the 2nd placers (M/B and I/B) are up on top.
Nerves perhaps? Or inexperience?
I insist D/D are hyped too much by Canadians due to their looks.
any videos of this good looking candian team? i am not fimilar with them.
Baldwin, however, was not pleased that they only received a level three on their spiral sequence.
“That's one of our best things. It's something we can always get a plus one on,” Baldwin said. “That could bring us up and make us comparable to the Chinese. We got held down on that tonight.”
The pair is planning on beefing up its repertoire, including the addition of a split triple twist, if it wants to become the first U.S. pairs team to medal at the World Championships since Kyoko Ina and John Zimmerman in 2002.
“We have a few things we're going to add into our program for Worlds. That should make the difference to get us up on that podium,” Baldwin said.
Any reports on what happened to D/D? Hopefully they can come back with a skate that is more indicative of their ability in the long program.
I'd love to know what happened to them in the short with that score. Given what the report said about all the other skaters in front of them, they must have had huge errors, although their scores don't indicate a fall.
It's reported that D(female) singled or completely botched that sbs 3sal. But that alone wouldn't put them so low in marks.
