Last year there was additional streaming of US Nationals by someone. The ISU? I don't know. Ben Agosto did commentary. There was also Japanese coverage with Japanese commentary. I remember that because someone who was watching said that the Japanese commentators were crying while or after Gracie was skating. The ISU (I guess?) also showed the gala and I don't think Peacock did.

I had no idea U. S. Nationals was streamed anywhere but on Peacock. I know parts of the broadcast were on NBC and the Olympic channel but I only have an antenna so really didn't pay much attention to those.
I only know because it came up on the boards. I don't think they've done it before. I was annoyed the ISU got Ben and we got nothing.

. There isn't any way to record things on Peacock itself. If you have a DVR and you get up and start the stream I would think it would record it. But my expertise is computer software, not TV. The live streams ISU provides are replayable. You are not wrong. This bravo sierra /cluster/fubar is gonna cost NBC lots of bucks. And my donations to the USFS are NOT going up...I am very disappointed in them. They could at least say that their lawyers have told them to keep their pie holes shut. They could tell us in a de facto sense what is going on. "We are developing a new way that skaters get their music OKed for use at different skating levels" for instance. Without getting political, I can say that the last few years have made me very disappointed in the Sport as a whole as far as certain factors in the sport but mostly how I am treated as a person who has put over $100,000 into the sport in various ways. (This next season probably $5,000 alone. ) From the IOC to the ISU and down to the USFS. My skating buddy "Howard" who has roomed with Frank Carroll in their skating days has given up on attending events entirely and cruises instead. After 8 cruises, I can see why...it is nice to be treated like a person who is cared about.....and there are still pretty girls to talk to!
I will just mention this in passing. There are ways to record anything that comes over the web, if you are tech savy enough.....or your equipment is old enough. Who remembers when TVs had RCA output jacks for audio and video. PaulE does. I have recorded thousands of hours of radio shows onto cassettes which I still play. I didnt even mind buying used CDs and DVDs of things I wanted to watch. Now Magnavox has stopped producing their exquisite tuner/DVR/ DVD burner DVD recorder DVD player. I am hoping they outlive my two....I'm not going retro. I'm using a VPN

I looked at this and this is just the basic email addresses. They are just going to round file them. I was looking for - there is someone at USFS who is in charge of streaming rights/dealing with Peacock - who is it, what is their emailing address. There's someone at Peacock who deals with streaming rights/dealing with USFS - who is it, what is their contact info. I suppose I can call USFS and ask.
Love your idea, and for another option skaters can also use YouTube Audio Library and YouTube many channels offering copyright and royalty free music. In short, there are many ways skaters can get GOOD music without violating copyrights AND it will be OKAY to broadcast and replay on YouTube and Peacock w/o issues! There really is no need for skaters to use commercial music anymore.
