Peacock this season

I was excited too to see the replay available. Guess this is a new policy. Yeah, when I click it right now it says there are 6 hours left to watch. Not the best, but better than nothing I suppose!
I saw this as well on Peacock and was wondering what this is. I did not click it yet. I got up at 6am my time to watch the ladies short. I am happy to see Peacock taking baby steps towards replays this season. Now could we try having replays a week after the event before NHK please . I really do not want to get up in middle of night for it or use VPN for it. I think this happened because of the traffic jam that would be taking place around US sectionals because all of them would be happening at the same time which would means you have to pick one which if you have more than one skater that you wanted to see you would not be able to do it. So maybe USFS finally decided to take some action and get NBC to provide some replays of the skating this season. I hope so because this is crazy and it needs to stop

I used to talk to Sarah a lot (from member support and LTSUSA) but she left. I guess I could talk to the new person who took her job? But I think going public (and hopefully viral) will do the trick
Really, do we have to stay up all night to watch the Grand Prix in foreign countries? It's ridiculous. NBC is giving us a 1 1/2 or 2 hour update per competition, and they think that's enough. They think nobody cares about figure skating. They would sure enough have replays if it were football. Can't Johnny and Tara do anything?

I wonder though if this may been on the ISU end because I kinda noticed it this morning because I noticed I could go back and watch a skater that I missed when got breakfast. So think the ISU tried to help US fans and tried to slip the replay past Peacock for us and NBC shut that down real fast because dear God if skating fans want to watch skating at better hours than early in the morning. Come on NBC stop this you really want skating fans on VPN's, though I think NBC trying to find a way stop that as well, and not watching your coverage. I just want to watch Olympic Sports at reasonable hours, because skating is not the only sport going though this nightmare with Peacock. Are we heading for clip shows like 2024 Gold because that seems to be the path we are on here. I have a suggestion that might that might work. On Peacock there were several online channels only available though the app why reboot a version of the Olympic channel their sell some ads to support it and place the coverage and replays there so we can see it if we chose that is all.

Does anyone know where to find the live mkwilson trophy gp on Peacock today? All I see up is notification of upcoming us qualifying coverage. Will that be taken down too after live coverage?

Oh I see it's France gp this weekend. I've missed most of every event due to Peacock's lack of archived service. 😡

Did France gp coverage end yesterday?

MK John Wilson Trophy starts next week. (Friday, Nov. 11th)

GP de France finished competition yesterday, with the gala today. I have no idea about the US qualifying coverage replays.

^^ Thx for responding @Minz. I already revised my post, having figured out I was ahead of schedule for UK gp.

Peacock has up the notifications for U.S. qualifying comps next week.

BTW, are the galas offered anywhere for viewing (live or replay)?

If your cable provider offers the “E” network, they have a highlights show on right this minute.

You have to suffer through Johnny and Tara and I think Andrea Joyce, plus ridiculous ads and endless comments about Deanna Stellato’s age ( as opposed to how fabulous she is), but it IS there, if you are very motivated to watch :)

No worries!

I think that the galas are streamed on the ISU YouTube channel (live and replays)!

Thank you Minz for all of your help for those of us suffering from Peacock's poor coverage. I downloaded the free Proton VPN as you suggested, set it to Netherlands, and went right to the ISU YouTube channel. It's worked perfectly. It's been wonderful to watch the replays that I missed. And, unlike many posters here, I love having commentary. I get a lot of information and it's not so lonely watching the events.

Did the Netherlands get blocked by the ISU? I tried using Proton VPN today and it said the videos weren’t available in your location, but it worked perfectly before. Wondering if this is something on my end…

I did try another VPN set to Turkey and it worked, but that VPN only gives 10 GBs free per month.

Proton VPN is working perfectly for me today (I was unable to get a server during the day yesterday so left it on all night). It’s possible Proton VPN will no longer be free at some point and I may have to pay a nominal amount, which I don’t mind because they have archives footage up for a long time.

Yesterday I had to bring my device to work and watch the GP pairs final surreptiously, with the sound way down, because I didn’t want the hassle of trying to deal with a VPN later, and I realized—now I pick and choose my must-watch events, and am willing to sacrifice the rest. There have been many GP events that I’ve simply not gotten around to watching, and it never used to be that way.

Thanks, Peacock. This ridiculous policy of yours has now made me less interested in skating, and less committed to following it. Way to go!

I wasn't blocked from anything. And I'm on location in The Netherlands!

Thank you both! Something must not have worked properly on my end. I’ll try again.

I used a vpn today for the first time! I recently had a problem with my laptop and took it in because I was concerned I might have picked up some malware. The shop I used highly recommended avast (paid version) which comes with a vpn. I didn't have any problems accessing the ISU stream and I was happy I had that option when Peacock died. My question is after I turn the vpn off should I do anything like restart my computer?

I had something odd happen during the pairs short program. I was watching Peacock on my phone until my plane took off (not buying $8 internet for a one hour flight thank you Southwest Airlines lol) and when I clicked on something, I got a message [sic] with Peacock Premium Plus I could download the event to watch it later. Not wanting to crash the plane, I had to put my phone in airplane mode before I could investigate further but since I have found some info that would seem to indicate Peacock is about to add a third subscription tier that will allow users to record live events DVR style. The message I got seems to have been some sort of Beta test offer. My phone is Andriod.
