Since I saw this montage of Daisuke and Akiko's tango to Oblivion by Gideon Kramer, I am OBSESSED.
I want Yuzuru to perform to that so much! Gaby/Guillaume would do a good job too, you know they would bring the sex and melt the ice.

As I said in the gala thread, I want Mao to perform to Thirst ost dressed as a vampire with fake blood and all on her face. That would be epic. If Mao doesn't want, I am ok with Rika doing it
Yuzuru should also skate to young and beautiful by Lana del Rey.

Zijun or Denis should skate to my funny valentine by Chet Baker.

Yan Han should skate to The Strokes!

Nazarova/Nikitin should dance to a Regina Spektor upbeat song like folding chair and Yanovskaya/Mozgov to Django Reinhardt medley including Ochi chernye

Also Adelina HAS TO SKATE to something latin. Samba, tango, chacha whatever. She was brilliant at those dances in DWTS.

I'm sorry if it has been already said, but I would love Satoko to skate to the lark ascending by vaughn williams. I feel like it would showcase her lines and natural beauty, but not demand huge jumps. It would be wonderful if she had a silver dress, that has muted yellow, green and blue highlights. I think Mao should skate to La Bayadere just because...I actually think, that it would further accentuate her maturity, and line (and has the big moments in the lyrical moments that Mao tends to gravitate towards.

There's actually a whole subgenre of that kind of retro-80s electro that I could see working for different skaters...like Javi, maybe Kovtun or Ivan Righini, or anyone on Team France (they have the best taste in music hands down!).

Liza, something non Eastern European or Latin. Try a classic modern European film OST, something like Zbigniew Preisner's sound track for Kieslowski's trois color series. She is sophisticated enough able to deliver... probably the only one from Russia... and frankly she can really can do with a bit of a stretch artistically. May be one for short (White), one/two for long (Blue or/and Red). These are also the color of the Russian flag. Nice package. Russian french

I like Preisner's work a lot, especially this piece for Liza. Even if, after all the times I've heard the word “tacky” referred to her programs, a part of me wants her to skate to "Rebel, Rebel" by David Bowie and rock it.

And i want either Yuzu or Gab/Guillaume to skate on Air's "playground love" one day. Only them could do it justice i think. (Or Daisuke but it wasn't to be )

After how well the 2014 Worlds Gala routine from Moore-Towers / Moscovitch went down (still so sad to think that this was the last time we saw them together), I would like another mobile phone themed Gala!

The problem is that the song I have in mind is very restrictive. Only a skater meeting certain criteria can use it. Specifically, a German-speaking girl in her mid-teens.

Ach, I can't think of any, other than Annabelle Prölß! So, seeing as Annabelle was still doing singles skating last season, let's give it to her!

(Apologies for the poor quality of the video. It was over 10 years ago that it was originally broadcast, after all!)

I was a massive fan of LaFee, ever since the first time I heard "Virus", shortly after it was released. Here was a brilliant rock band fronted by a beautiful young girl with a great voice. And, their music just kept getting better and better!

Even though it has been a good 5 or 6 years since I accidentally came across "Handy", I still can't get over how strong Christina's voice was back when she was only 13!

That said, although Christina is a great singer, it is the partnership with Ricky Garcia and the band that made LaFee the success they were! I was gutted when they split. It was a big mistake - Christina's (solo) material just hasn't been the same since.

It would be great to hear some of Christina's earlier material getting an airing again, so that people can be reminded of how good it was, and what we're missing out on now. And on the ice would be a great place to do it!
