Pick the music for your favorites

Which ice dance team would do the best skating to "Linus and Lucy" aka: The song people associate the most with the Peanuts comic strip. I was thinking yesterday how cool it would be for an ice dance team to skate dressed up as Charlie Brown and Lucy or Sally.
 
I loved Elena's Rach 3 free skate this season, but she still needs to work on polish when working with such a classical style. I think Rhapsody on a Theme of Paginini would do wonders for her polish (the 43rd movement, aka the part everybody knows and loves). Actually, come to think of it, it might make a good next free dance for P/C (Thatwould make me like them!). Even in pairs, maybe-can anybody think of a pair that would be good at that kind of piece?

Haha...hindsight is 20/20. I think I was just tired of seeing the poor girl in tears. I'm sure she's found something better so I wouldn't worry too much. ;)
 
When I was watching Final Fantasy VII (Advent Children) on youtube, I heard "One winged angel" and thought it fitting for the Olympic 2014 champion Yuzuru Hanyu.
I even imagine "He should do his Quads in this parts... THEN iNA bAUER IN HERE" for his Free Program...:laugh:

I too can imagine spots to place jumps. I even spied a section that is begging for his spread eagle to 3a. I think this music would be very intense. Absolutely epic.

I agree, that's what I thought that too when I made this (old video though, not very good).

:drama: what're u talkin' about?! The video is super great! If I could turn back time (and I'm the choreographer) I would make him skate to this music. Totally fits Yuzu well. Hah...I just hope those who pick music for THE KING will have a wider directory of music that suits HANYU well. Maybe they could have a worldwide poll so fans could suggest perfect songs for SP or FP. Because you know...FANS know better (if not best). In choreography though..I gotta hand it to them.

I know right? And then they could make him look like Zephiroth and have his hair FIRMLY held up (using a super hold gel) and then his character will be the ultimate evil looking villain. He could do even the triumphant smirks and the grins that irritates the other skaters. You know...I mean Yuzu could really look the part...

Holy crap, that's actually good.

Add me to the chorus crying for One Winged Angel for Yuzuru. It's more bombastic and dramatic than Carmina Burana and Hall of the Mountain King put together, therefore right up his alley.

Personally I'd rather have the heavy metal Advent Children version than Dissidia one.

Awesome idea. If he wants to challenge himself, he should try to do "evil'!

Oooh, and the Sephiroth costuming would be just epic.

Oh wow that's good. After the announcement of the remake for the PS4 I REALLY hope someone (or multiple someones) skates to some FFVII music it has a great soundtrack.

This sound track is under rated and little used. It has a great build up and the pace is ideal for skating. The all American 'nostalgia' sweeping motif orchestral sound that became a signature of his (between him, John Williams, Randy Newman, they really cornered that market), and poignantly, it is the perfect tribute music to this much cherished and surely missed composer (one of my fav all time greatest film ost composers). It need a sensitive touch and thoughtful interpretation that Jeremy, Adam, Josh or Ricki can bring.

Has anybody ever skated to Die Moldau by Bedřich Smetana?

It was my number 1 favourite piece when I was a teen...I'd listen to it over and over again :)

I think it would suit Kvaguti/Smirnov very well, especially some combination of this part and this part. Maybe SP & FS ;)

I absolutely love Die Moldau and I was wondering the same just a few days ago [ /brain twins] I'd love to see a program to it, there's enough variety for an amazing LP.
