Plushenko will honour us with his presence in 2010!

Eurosport? Oh, yeas, I remember them laughing at his Oly footwork in WATTS:rofl:

laughing or not, as well as switching the conversation or not, has nothing to do with the level of spin and step sequence .

Before you can be the judge or change the rule&system, please just keep  and opinion as what you are always doing.

I agree with you that the scores Plushenko received were excessive, but the placement was not. He earned his gold - unlike the other two medalists, who were there almost by default because everyone was so awful.

I find it a little illogical. If the silver and bronse medalists had won by default because all the others were too bad, I think it would be more fair to tell: ALL three medallists had won by default!:)

Just as you remembered falsly about his 4-3-3 combo, I think (no, i m sure of) you remember wrong cause eurosport journalists (french and english) were too enthusiastic for his programs Lp and Sp at the point that I thought they were exagerating even for a plushy fan like me. Videos for memory refreshing are easy to find.
By default means that if someone had skated to his potential plush would have lost, because plush didnt make any big fault to jeopardise his medal, even if stephan and buttle and the whole company had skated better plush would have still won the gold medal.

By default means that someone was bad but nobody was better!

 Don't worry seniorita, as much as i'm not a fan of Pluschenko, i'm REALLY not a fan of Eldredge!

Ant

you see?we have too many things in common!

By default means that there was nobody better, and indeed, there wasn`t!.:agree:

as far as i remember plushy usually won his medals not because someone else had a bad day. :p

Not really. Pluschenko skated, landed all his jumps and won the title. The skaters in silver and bronze tripped and slipped, but less than everyone else (like Weir who was 2nd after the SP). It is not difficult to see that the only skater who sakted two consistent programs and didn't fall down was Plushenko everyone else...well let's just say it wasn't a good competition.

wouldnt have been great Olympics if stephan had skated like worlds 2006 and plush had skated like euros 2005 or 2006 and joubert had skated like wolrds 2007 and weir had skated like worlds 2008 and takahashi like 4 continents 08?

How tru Ant, the only problem is I felt so cheated out of a program with what he put out there to win that title.

Dee, give him a break! He was the best and he wanted to have an Olympic gold medal to match it. That is all. He earned it fair and square.

Well to me the programme wasn't that different from anything else he'd done in the last few seasons so i guess I didn't notice it being so much less of a programme than everything else he'd already done! Plus you have to give it him the jumps were always great.

Just as you remembered falsly about his 4-3-3 combo

I mentioned this jump combination (4-3-3) only because I believe that one, two, or even three executions-it`s still far away from being regular as you tried to present it in your post, but still, thanks for information!:)

I didnt try to present anything regular, I said he celebrated after some 4-3-3, you said it was one time to be exact, and so to be exact i said i remember at least 3 times (not to mention the unsuccesful ones like salt lake).
Am i speaking chinese or what?
In sports one time is enough to make history anyway.

:unsure::unsure::unsure:

i forgive you cause I ll see plushy show today:biggrin:
i ll take you an autograph cause I know how much you d like it:p

 Come on you know how i feel about him!

Anyway enjoy the show - i hope you have a great time and please let us have your thought son how he skates. the jumps he lands etc.

Ant

i think he 's your favorite skater but you dont know about it yet:cool:

I dont expect anything like big jumbs in the limelight, but i ll try to watch objectively!
I m so excited I ll see plushy, I have a big grin, if you never see me again it means I m dead (but happy dead).

I went to Plusenko & Friends in Germany, also Aljona Savchenko & Szolkowy were there and Kers who skated their famous scotish number, no Labiel or other top man that were in other shows, Plusenko was on top form, he skated a tango and to the surprise of his fans an old competition number, he jumped a quadruple toe and a bunch of triple axels, combinations and all triples, in quad toe audience gasped, they couldn't believe it and he could not believe it either, he looked happy, I was amazed how much people love him, they clapped and clapped and he did not leave.
Next people's love were Savchenko & Szolkowy- also amazing, skated to Bad Day and then a number with Morozov - Volosozar together. The rest were acrobats, Bonnaly, Naomi Lang and Peter T , and someone who jumped over a car.

Wow. Impressive. thanks for the update Chloe. This will be very interesting... What music did Evgeni skate to? Did it resemble in any way a "competitive type program" rather than one of his explicit "show" programs in any way? Perhaps some clues in the music choice...

Oh, snap!

I m back from heaven, Evgeni said somewhere that he wants to try in Vancouver even if he doesnt medal, I hope he does, he looks in great shape for someone who has not competed in 3 years, and he was in great mood, I really hope all the best for him, he is really cute and funny with his fans and not like the ice zar they say, the german pair was very nice, they have great speed and they match together, plushy did a quad at the end of show and audience went crazy, probably as farewell, and lots of triples, i remember 3t-3t, 3s-3l,4-5 3axels and one in combo, i dont remember what combo, he skates very fast to follow him, he even sat on his sit spin ( dont expect miracles but it was low enough and had great speed) , he did a crazy a la plushy footwork at the end of show and a great slow circular one in Tango, they say Tango will be his Lp, it is not framed yet so i cant say, he skated also to St Petersburg 300(!!!) , that was the best gift! The whole show was amazing :p
