Russian Sports doesn't have enough problems with the p e d scandals that don't seem to ever go away that plushenko has to talk about scores for KV being arranged AKA rigged? It's too stupid to believe that he would spit and I was going to use another word on his own sport and young compatriot like that. again plushenko received higher scores than he deserved probably dozens of time at his career and yeah he's already squawking about scores from a girl who is a huge threat to the two great TT skaters he inherited from EG? The Federation needs to tell him to be quiet. you never hear anything from other Russian coaches publicly shaming the scores of other coaches skaters and we know EG has had several girls with massive scores in the last 10 years and I never remember hearing a peep out of any of the other Russian coaches complaining about it and Plushenko is already doing it.

Hopefully things will settle down. But if Sasha or aliona don't win rusnats and Anna three-peats as I expect her to or KV skates clean and puts up the highest scores we will only hear about complaining from one person. I hope I'm wrong but that's what I expect. And I also expect the national championship pressure to be massive on Sasha and Alena.

I think that's what's bewildering to a lot of people. Hell EG has never criticized the scores of any opponents when that opponent beat her student such as Adelina over Yulia at Russian Nationals multiple times. But now EG may have the opportunity to criticize the scores of Sasha and aliona if and when they beat Anna and KV this season. I don't see her doing that under any circumstances and if she did it would annoy aliana and Sasha a lot

Rozanov was the key to getting Sasha and aliona to leave TT where they were superstars to go to PA. Also Plushenko is an outstanding recruiter. So you combine his recruiting skills with promises to the skaters and their parents with his getting young Sergei at his Academy where these girls who have left TT for PA adore. Or they did adore him. If Sasha has nothing to do with him now it's disappointing. I did not know young Sergei was not at the last two or three competitions.

I love me some Elena I. I think she's a great addition in addition to her knowledge she can help with presentation and be a buffer between the coaches and the skaters.

I did not know if plushenko got rid of all those coaches you named. But in defense of him their skaters left then the coaches wanted to leave to or he got rid of them. It is a very topsy-turvy sport. Figure skating is tough on the athletes and the coaches.

I was never quoted in articles but I can promise you.....We ALL had our opinions. About other coaches, Other judges, Routines, Costumes, you name it. As my Dad used to tell me, Talent is one thing but...........You need a strong backbone and thick skin to survive in a competitive sport that has no finish line.

I have no idea how reliable any online platforms are, to be honest. On the one hand, what you have posted (I mean the examples of comments) makes the impression that the majority sees some faulty score judgement and generally shares Evgeni's opinion. On the other hand, I was just re-watching the programs from Russian Cup 2 (from 1st Channel YT account), and it stroke me to see how many negative comments under Sasha's videos were shared. Not really against Sasha herself, but generally against Pluschenko's approach to the situation. Those comments were all from Russians, while as interesting as it might get, the english speaking ones (probably from Non-Russian fans) were only supportive.

What I am trying to say is that is difficult to make general assumptions only based on such "subpopulations", because it really depends on what kind of a platform you are looking for information.

I can't speak for Scott, but to me tyhe answer is "no." Eteri skaters have led the way in ladies' skating for several years, especially with regard to increased technical content. It is natural that they won a lot of medals.
