OK, Polina begged Eteri to take her only a few years ago, right? Because Eteri's typically does not take tall skaters. She probably cannot keep up with the level of training in Eter's group and is left behind. I cannot blame Eteri so much: when you have so many successful students, the amount of "love" you can give to each is really limited. I don't think Polina's programs are bad either. Light of the 7 is great; the LP last season had nothing wrong especially after the modification right before Polina's first GP event. With her injuries and loss of training time, she could not add Alina amount of transitions.

The real question? Have they deleted all photos of Polina from their social media so to make it look like she never existed. I'm actually curious, are they any old photos of past skaters at the Sambo Rink. Like are there any photos of Lipnitskaya still hanging.

At some point, Eteri's daughter, Diana, is probably like "Mom, cool it! I'm not going to have any friends left if Alina leaves."

Now what they haven't done yet is publish information saying that Polina has left Eteri. For now they are only publishing that Med has left. Polina is to officially name her coach on Wednesday so maybe they are waiting until then.

Polina didn't begged Eteri to train her.
She was admitted in Eteri's group after 1st day of probes.
Yes, it was difficult for her because her injuries, but she wasn't supported by the team.Eteri doesn't like to worl with injured people.She wants only medals, and quick.
She is amazing also after a long recovering (see NHK).Sadly, the team was too blind in olympic season to see it.

Well it's not like the long program they gave her last year was anything great. That program felt like an afterthought. It will be interesting to see if they keep that new SP, i guess why not, it's already paid for. LOL

I love her FS from this last season.
Especially after they insered "Stilness of the mnd".It sounded more natural and Polina felt the program especially the part with "Song for the little sparrow".

I saw this,too.
I don't see why to delete all the post with Polina and others that gone, but I would think to be more accurate making a folder with "ex students".

Well, and Daria Panenkova. But to be honest, now that Polina is with Buyanova, I think she will get some RusFed cooking and will be on the world team alongside Evgenia and Alina unless she really bombs at nationals and Daria/Maria step it up.

Tsurkaya might get the CSKA boost, but it's Radionova who'll be the #1 girl in Vodorezova's group. Five major comp. medals. Only Medvedeva has more in all of Russia and Sotskova has shown her weakness in the 2'nd half of the season. She has 1 major comp. medal in her 2 full seasons vs. Radio's 5. Gubanova and Tsurskaya are new. Yes, these 4 are going to be a competitive group but Radionova will get top preference.

Don't forget that TAT/Vodorezova have been wanting her since 2015 and she was always the main "prize" in terms of skater aquisition. Also, tired of people (especially with 17/18 join dates) writing off Radio.

Sorry but being a newer user don't make your point of view blind of what you have see in the past years, but just don't have commented here.

Right now, Radionova is not anymore in the same light of before. Even Elizaveta has do better than her at the last nationals, so why don't say the same for her ?

You can legitimately think that she has still a chance, but is not that certain. Seem more easy to me to think that the fed will take one of the newer, for the third spot.

Let's. But the Liza comment is misleading. Radio had a much better season because you have to look at the whole season. Nobody cares if you finish 10'th or 8'th at nats. You are still not making the team.

Also, Radio would have won PCS at Russian Nationals if she skated clean. She has the biggest TES to PCS difference. They only person who would've had highter PCS is Zag. But that is obvious given how PCS work in relation to team #1s (especially in an Oly year where the inflation arms race really heats up among top nations). So this part of your post is misleading as well.

ETA: seriously, Lena's PCS was 15 pts higher than the TES. She would've challenged MAria for 3'rd if she skated clean...

Because transitions are the only thing in a program that matters?

IMO, far form it, and nothing about the LP really worked. Too little transitions isn't even one of my problems (I'd think neither are Polinas, she even said in an interview she didn't get what she was supposed to portray or something to that extent).

uhhhh when the news came out Polina was already at CSKA if I'm not mistaken - she confirmed it because she had already started training there

Either way, I think she made the right decision! I hope next season she will have great results!

I agree to that,polina makes her exit with eteri more classy than evgenia,im sorry for zhenyas fans but that was wrong you dont do that to the person who invested so much on you even if that person were portrayed by everyone as evil it still wrong i thought she was different but i was wrong.
