The problem of judging easily (i'm doing it sometimes too) is that we may end with the wrong impressions because we are not exposed to totality of their personal character and information of their life and what kind of people they are. Like in Plato's allegory of the caves, we just see the shadows from our screen and create our own reality of how this people are. You can be with someone for ten years and still not exposed to his full character.
I admire that she (her team) is very close to establish a school of figure skating. You are a talented 10-12 years old kid?, you go there and by 17/18 years old you become a world/Olympic champion. It's quite remarkable. And not always someones success is taken with ease.

Well, she‘s successful, that‘s quite obvious. But I‘m a bit concerned about the health (mental and physical) of her students. They‘re fantastic whilst they‘re young but we see it with Evgenia: they get older, they get injuries and eventually have to leave which she doesn‘t take lightly and most likely will resort to insulting them and talking bad about them. That is - in my opinion - not fierce but rather unprofessional. But still, I don‘t think I could imagine figure skating without her, haha. She makes it way too interesting.

Well you never know. Some rumors about her coaching team are terrifying.
But of course, I don’t dislike Eteri because I don’t know her as a person. I find her remarks towards her former students hilarious, vile and childish though.

Alot of us like her. She is a great coach with a domineering persona. Eteri is a controversial figure and she is not perfect. It will be interesting to see if Polina can excel to new heights away frm Eteri.
