Polina Tsurskaya

Her long program is also wonderful. The quality of most things she does... :luv17: hopefully she will be healthy from now on.

I really hope that Polina manages two clean skates...it's incredible how she improved from the last season, taking into account her bad injury this summer. And I agree that she has two very nice programs (I prefer the SP, but maybe it's because I'm missing GoT too much...) and, among all the very talented junior skaters out there, she really stands apart for me.

Does anybody know what Polina's 2013-14 short program is? I checked, and it's NOT Between the Beats :scratch2:

This is Polina's thread.

According to tech panel Polina had three URs.

I am sorry. i didnt post the right video as it seemed. Did Polina had those problems with URs previously ? Because in the grand prix series she had better scores.

Your score also was Stasya's score, Polina only got 54 points.

No, Polina hasn't had UR problems before.

I think she was scored very strictly in the SP but oh well...:angry2: it's still one of my favourite SPs of this season.

At this JWC, she has nothing to loose from now on...good luck and do your best in the free program, Polina.

And Honda naturally didn't get an UR for her 3T which looked as much as UR as Polina's 3Lo.
Marin's 3T looks clean in replays... the only argument is if pre-rotation is taken into account - but it never is.

The issue is Polina's Lutz call. Would love to see what camera angle the tech panel saw it from, because it sure doesn't look UR in the broadcast/stream replays :-/

I hope Polina has a great redemption free skate - finish the season on a high note.

Going from memory she had some uncalled URs for Russian nationals/junior nationals. IMO, I don't think these were UR though the 3Lo is definitely borderline.

Was shocked and saddened at her scores, but she has nothing to lose now and should go out tomorrow and slay, shine and skate for herself :-) And like many others, I LOVE her GOT short- it's absolutely brill.

Polina  I just wish her to have great free skate. She will learn from that and move on. She can do great things if she will be healthy and I can't wait to see her grow into great skater :luv17: Good luck in free.

It's telling how all the people who endlessly whine about overscoring of Russians have nothing to say about Polina's score. She wasn't perfect, but she deserved better than what she got. Hopefully she can have a redemption FS like Daniel Samohin did.

She was still gorgeous. I'm not worried about her future. It's better to have struggles now with her coming back from the injury, then in the next year.

Honestly, last year I never got all the hype around her, but this year she's started developing into an amazingly beautiful skater with subtle sensitivity in her performance. I am okay if takes her a couple of more years to develop - true beauty and her growth as a skater shouldn't be rushed. It all just makes her journey more interesting to me.

She has just finished her free skate.

It is never stressed enough how unpredictable this sport is.

But life goes on. Tsar(skaya) Lutz ftw. :agree:

I think she won all her international events till now. I said it before and will say it again, she can only learn from this experience. She has all potential and talent in this world, I wish her to be healthy and to believe in herself :luv17:

She wasn't confident and she didn't look fully fit either. Still, the jumps that she did nail, were pure quality. And of course, now a very polished skater as well.

Polina still has an SB score that should be able to qualify her for a guaranteed senior GP next season, so hoping she stays healthy and can come back strong as a senior!

Tough break kid.....stay tough and come back stronger. Will she be senior next season?
