Practice Reports

Have you seen this? Japanese TV coverage of practices.
High quality vid and VERY enjoyable in many ways. (Sorry for not translating all the comments because of lack of time.)

In this clip, one of the guys criticizes Yuna's jumps - 'not very good axis for jumps' etc - and the other guy is just hilarious.
"It's not about techniques... but how much the ladies have matured."

Murakami looks pretty here.

Hey sunny0760 I wouldn't have wasted your Japanese language skills (presumably not for the affection for the culture) on translating these 'commentators'. As you may know neither of them has anything to do with the sport but they're mere TV personalities. The cross dresser guy ミッツマングローブ's comment goes more like "(I'm more interested in) the drama of the battle of the girls."

That said both Miki and Yu-na look in great shape, with the former doing 3sal/3loop and the latter 3lz/3lp and 3flip! Mao's 3f/2lp looks great too. Bring it on!!!

I heard Japanese skaters would attend the Worlds with black ribbons and stickers that say " Live again, Japan!" on their wear.
I'm not sure the "wear" means costumes or training wear or team uniforms, though.

I hope Universal Sports uploads a higher quality video--that one was a bit too jerky for me. But so awesome that we finally got see her SP!

Yuna's SP run-through (HIGH QUALITY)

The video of universal sports is not easy to watch so here is the video from SBS.

I don't know which word can explain her awsome performance Actually, I thought she couldn't improve more because she was so perfect in the Olympic. Every athelet has their own best days and in the case of Yuna, her heyday was that olympic season. (Honestly, I thought her heyday was 0809 but she proved that she could do better.)

But She is the strongest now comparing with her whole skating life.

I like it!

That opening Lutz could not be executed better. She doesn't have to rely on partial credit to win.

I'm not a fan of the music of Giselle even at the ballet, and that puts me off watching Yuna interpret these excerpts. Who did the choreography?

Who did the choreography?

David Wilson. The bulk of the choreography was done over the last summer. When Yuna and Brian Orser broke up, Wilson make a trip to yuna's new practce base in LA to finish the chreo last fall.
