Just a quick question about the dance competition, Virtue and Moir...

They won the free dance and won silver. Has it been done before? Winning silver or any medal only the second year at the senior level?

Given the whole "wait your turn" philosophy in dance that seemed to prevail before CoP, it doesn't seem likely but I too would be interested if there are exceptions! I only know that in pairs, Gordeeva and Grinkov were world junior champions in 1985 and world senior champions in 1986.

Eva Romanova / Pavel Roman, world champions 1962-1965. They won (reportedly) 1962 in Prague at their first world championships.
