I think Oda's SP score in Canada was a bit inflated because of "him". The gap with Rippon will be smaller this time. Oda usually skates better at the first GP competition than the second. Rippon has the better chance at home.
I'm in agreement. I don't think Oda would have gotten 81+ for his SP had Reynolds and Chan not been overscored. Seems like the judges panicked a little.
And what made you think Rippon score wasn't inflated as well? rising tide raises all boats.
Oda consistently got 80+ on his SP last season. Even up to 85. It wasn't out of the blue that he got 81+.

Technical Specialist Mr. Shin AMANO
After seeing this name.... I must predict Murakami will win ladies.
In almost all competitions where he was the TS, Japanese skaters have won.

Uh huh; so you're insinuating that someone else should have won instead at these competitions?
No, I'm saying Amano is a sort of mascot for JPN skaters. He's also known for strict calls, which won't help likes of Flatt.

Then strict calling shouldn't help the likes of Murakami either, who has a fairly egregious flutz and also her share of underrotations. Unless you are saying that he will be strict on technical calls for non-Japanese skaters, but ignore faults of Japanese skaters?
