Predictions??

Haha...at first I thought those were your predictions and I was all confused as to why you had Johnny Weir in last place!! ;)

I just want Anabelle Langlois and Cody Hay to have a respectable competition and skate clean :)

Well FSU used to have the prediction contests and they would tally up everyone's predictions and come up with some number...highest number wins. I actually did pretty well with the US Nationals predictions (came in 7th overall) but messed up with the Canadian Nationals due to the pairs event ;)

I'll make my predictions (top 3 in each)

LADIES
1. Carolina Kostner
2. Joannie Rochette
3. Susanna Poykio (I would have put Fumie, but isn't she injured?)

PAIRS
1. Petrova/Tikhonov
2. Wakamatsu/Fecteau
3. Marcoux/Buntin

DANCE
1. Denkova/Staviski
2. Grushina/ Goncharov
3. Marie-France Dubreuil / Patrice Lauzon (CAN)

MEN
This to me is the hardest one... from my top 3 prediction, I'm not picking placements, because it could go any way, I'm just going to say who I think will be top 3... it's seriously impossible for me to pick. So the top 3 will include Johnny Weir, Jeff Buttle and Emanuel Sandhu

I think there are only 2 men that i have never heard of or seen skate: Song and Zalenka; and so, I want to see them AND every other man on that list...wow, what a fantastic group of skaters...predictions: based on so far this season I would say that Buttle, Oda, and Honda should be up there, but geez, Weir (especially if he returns to his competitive state), Sandhu, Sawyer, Griazev could be in the mix; Savoie and Othman seem medal worthy to me too...oh gosh, this isn't really a prediction at all.

I would think that Petrova and Tikonov should have this one; but can't say much about the other two places, although i just can't wait to see W/F skate again.

For the ladies: I'm thinking Corlina, Fumie, and Joannie, but don't know what order.

Anyway, this looks like a great event.

Don't forget to vote in the Golden Skate picks contest!

I went with Nobu Oda, Alissa Csyzny, Langoise and Hay, and Kerr and Kerr.

So Alissa is the only American lady at that event.

But I really don't know how it's going to turn out. But I expect Kostner and Rochette to be at or near the top.

Haahahahah MM you're taking some serious risks this time. Sure the Sokolova one paid off, but do you really think THAT many people will withdraw :P I'm pretty sure Alissa is the only one you have a chance with.

I picked Jeff, Caro, Pet/Tik, and Grushina and Goncharov I think.

Let's seee...

Taking a long shot with dance, but I love 'em: Kerr/Kerr!

Joannie Rochette for ladies... Petrovna/Tikhonov for pairs... and Johnny for men's.

I'm probably so so wrong, but it's fun anyway! :)

Hmm...here are my picks:

Ladies - Joannie Rochette
Mens - Jeff Buttle
Dance - Grushina & Goncherov (sp?)
Pairs - Petrova & Tikinov

I really hope Dubreil and Lauzon get silver or maybe even challenge for the gold. Can't wait to watch this live and in person! :)

I picked Czisny  , Buttle, Petrova/Tikhonov & G/G.
Wow, could I have been more WRONG? The funny thing, I was pretty sure that my predictions would be correct EXCEPT for Czisny--I thought I was kind of going out on a limb there!

I was right in saying Rochette would be near the top (she was 2nd). But not Kostner!

And Alissa was a really big surprise to me.

Oh my, this was the worst prediction contest for me, LOL. Not even one right, huh!
