R.I.P. Joesitz

Many may already know this, but Joesitz passed away on Dec 16, 2011 after battling leukemia for years. He was 80-years-old. We miss our knowledgeable and sometimes crusty moderator who we called our "Dick Button." Hope you are enjoying the ice drama from above Joe!

RIP, Joesitz. We did a few battles but I appreciated that we both had smart Mamas. I knew you had passed and hope you've been amusing yourself watching figure skating competitions in this earthy realm as well as silly battles going on in the GS forum.

Sad to hear this. I met Joesitz in Cleveland in 2009. I carried on with some private messages for a time, but then stopped seeing replies. He had mentioned that he had some serious health issues. I would love to hear his take on the IJS and the current state of skating.
