Reactions and criticism of judging by Network commentators - NBC, CBC, BBC, etc

Yeah ever since he helped to self create the SLC debacle he has become irrelevant, since people know all his word can do is bring harm to an already largely damaged (thanks to him) sport. The horrid new judging system we have is completely his and Bezic's fault to begin with, so who cares what they have to say on anything.

They think the public will believe whatever they are told. Um...Scott, I have news for you. The public didn't start a petition and get almost 2 million signatures in one day because you told us to. Does anyone remember Scott Hamilton on tv telling people the judging was fixed, and then 2 million people petitioning the ISU and IOC because Scott made us see the light? No, people are mad because we know what we saw with our own eyes.

These former skaters are only contributing to the problem. They just want to sweep everything under the rug and that's why the cheating never goes away. Let's see a real man or woman step forward with courage and call a spade a spade. Figure skating, which I love too, will be better off when it's clean and not corrupt.

It also shows what a biased agenda pusher he is when he raised a stink out of nothing for Sale & Pelletier, but says nothing any other time even for sometihng legitimately fixed. I guess he was deadset on Sale & Pelletier joining his struggling Stars on Ice Show (why Anton & Elena did him the huge favor of joining for awhile is beyond comprehension).

NBC Nightly News has reported the controversy tonight with Scott Hamilton set the tone. Scott said the judges were right about the placement. They have rewarded the most athletic skater, while YuNa's skating was beautiful.

Seriously, the base point difference of less than 4 between Yuna and Adelina, and Adelina with a mistake, Yuna couldn't get enough GOE or PCS to cross 3-4 points difference between them. Three points was all she needed.

Go away. Now. And stop screwing with Yuna. You guys already have your much deserved gold.

Johnny and Tara need to STFU. They are SOOO fixated on "spunkiness" and jumps. Just because someone shrieks does not mean they should win. Didn't Yuna have the harder jumps in her SP? Yet she was not awarded accordingly, was she. Johnny and Tara, yet another reason to stop watching FS.

They're totally trying to bury the SP, because really, there's no defense for Adelina scoring as high as Yuna and Caro. Do they really not see how screwed up this is, or are they not allowed to speak up, or paid off, or what?

Tara and Johnny were pretty negative towards Yuna Kim. Tara saying Yuna didn't bring it, as if yuna did terrible or something. it was kinda unbelievable.

We should start another petition to have Weir, Lipinski, and Hamilton fired from NBC so they can't spew propaganda and lies anymore.

All it takes is one judge to record one of the corrupt ones on a phone call. One call for another scandal to erupt. I am a stickler for justice and to see Sotnikova's free skate outscoring clean skates from Mao, Yuna and Carolina was just wrong wrong wrong.

Tara is reliving her "glory" when she was the "underdog" teen. I suspect she finds justifying adelina helps to justify herself. Johnny seems to just parrot Tara.

I love how Tara and Johnny are not credible because their opinions differ from the mob.

It's more their explanation, all they keep talking about is technical score, they don't point out adelina messed up on her jumps, they don't point out Yuna's higher technical content in the SP, and all Johnny says is adelina "won the night". I don't find their arguments very convincing, especially as both adelina and yulia were overscored.

The also addressed the performance issue. They felt Yuna was flat and that Adelina captured the moment. Here: http://www.nbcolympics.com/video/johnny-weir-and-tara-lipinski-break-down-ladies-free-skate

It's all ******** and nobody with straight face not trolling can say Adelina scored 149.95. You can lie or troll or do whatever you want, any figure skater of days gone by can go on tv and try and cover up for the cheating if they want, but nobody who knows anything about skating can honestly say there was no cheating involved.

Again, they simply say things like "capture the moment" What is that??? compare to Bezic's comment about being a choreographer and appreciating Yuna's footwork and choreography. That's substance, not simply, "she was spunkier, she captured the moment."

Your "arguments" are as cogent as Tara and Johnny's.

Eh, my favorite won so I'm happy. I'm not trying to win an argument I just hate when people like you attack Tara for disagreeing with you that there wasn't some huge controversy. Saying that they need to STFU for expressing their opinion is quite rude.
