Reactions and criticism of judging by Network commentators - NBC, CBC, BBC, etc

I actually do think NBC toned down their reporting on this cause of that French article - if they accuse the Russians of stuff, they also know that there's already a link in the minds of the public to the US because of that article (substantiated or not).

Scott Hamilton's take:

To Scott Hamilton, the 1984 singles champion and a TV commentator, the controversy is the best thing that could have happened.

“You’re going to be around the water cooler and everybody is going to have an opinion, and I love it because it will make everyone care about the sport again,” he said, laughing.

Yeah really funny Scott. What a joke this guy is.

He says Adelina deserved to win because of higher jump content, but 4 years ago he said Evan deserved to win over Plush because of higher PCS and GOE. Total hypocrite with no integrity whatsoever. They literally just make up whatever they want in order to validate the predetermined political fixed results.

The score gap between Yuna and Adelinna sotinokova is around 5 points.

And Russians say this is because sotinokova has jumped one more triple jump.

But though Yuna has jumped one less triple jump, she did one more double jump. which means the total number of jumps is just the SAME.

Yuna jumped 6 triple +5 double while sotinokova jumped 7triple + 4 double.

The score gap between triple and double is just 2 points.

This fact shows if that was the main reason to have the score gap it should be more or less around 2points instead of 5 points.

and aside from that, we all know she has one double jump mistake in free program.

this means there must not be any score gap between Yuna and sotinokova.

Therefore Sotinokova score gap argument connecting to number of triple jump is nonsense

the difference is only 1.42 point.
Their PCS is almost same in both SP and FP.
YuNa's step sequence got level 3 in SP and FP and Adelina got level 4 and 1.7 GOE.
This is fixed from the beginnig.YuNa was robbed of gold medal.

Jonny Wier said YuNa is a real Champion, Adelina won by home advantage. in an interview with Korean TV(MBC)

Whats is he doing?????lol

Just saw Johnny and Tara on NBC. Both said Yuna skated to not lose. Her jumps were tight. Not as explosive or high as Adelina's. Her program was safe and not stand out.
It's quite disgusting what both are saying, especially if Johnny is flip flopping on Korean TV.

That's honestly repulsive to wish that on a 17 year old girl who did not cause any of this. If the judges are to blame, then fix the system. Taking it out on someone who didn't knee cap her rivals is insane.

I agree with you. Even though I firmly believe Ms. Sotnikova deserves bronze rather than gold as both Kostner and Kim clearly outskated her, she doesn't deserve to be personally condemned. She didn't ask those judges to do what they did, after all, and she did skate very well -- well enough for bronze, which is not chicken liver.

Maybe Johnny's being told what to say by NBC and he can't tell them to go jump in the lake?

Let me ask you a question. It requires a yes/no response and that's it. Do you believe it is right for the Olympics to have judges including a proven cheat and the wife of a Russian skating boss? Is this fair for our competitors?

Absolutely not. They never should've been allowed to judge, IMNSHO.
