It's honestly impossible to say until we see how placements shake out tomorrow. Not worse than 50-50.

I'm disappointed with her score too, but she's only a few points away from the podium. If she skates her amazing FS cleanly tomorrow, she'll still have a shot. She's still one of my favorite ladies, even if she doesn't make it to the GPF.

Tomorrow is new day and i keep my thumbs up.
I think no one really skates own level but Elena only one score ower 70 points.
But my heart is on riverdance:hap85:

Great performance, and she's still in podium contention!

I didn't think she was quite as good as CoC, so I am personally not surprised by the score. And actually, it could have been a lot worse... I think she was very lucky not to get an edge call for her Lutz... and she got pretty good GoE for her final spin even though it was a little off-balance and "travelled" a lot.

Hoping for a clean skate tomorrow...!

It was the first time I thought she looked nervous at the beginning of the program...hopefully trying to make it on the gpf roster is not giving her too much nerves; looking forward for a energetic riverdance tomorrow!

Edge violations and UR calls on both her Lutzes - very costly.
And 3S popped to 2S.

I guess there's still a tiny chance she could reach the GP final.
It's pretty unlikely, but who knows? Weirder things have happened :-D

Looking to the future... fix those Lutzes, and nail those programs at Nationals!

Yes, clearly she's capable of much better. But all skaters have those times, sometimes. I honestly don't think she'll go to GPF, but you're right. Let's wait and see NHK final results.
For now, it's better she focus as if her next competition was the Nationals. She HAS to go to World! Go Rika!

Ohhh, I feel like I may have jinxed her with my comments yesterday It happens to the best skaters though, and from what I've heard, she looked very nervous. The good news is, she can use this extra practice time to prepare for Nationals and wow everyone there. I want to see you at Worlds, Rika!

Hongo looked somewhat tired today. Especially made obvious considering how bubbly her program is supposed to be.

I really hope she bounces back well. She's become one of my favourite skaters to watch.

Rika was much more better in COC and Finlandia trophy.
But enyway i think she is good skater and meny more years ahead

Sadly Rostelecom Cup wasn't Rika's best outing. But I don't really think that one competition changes anything for her. Even if she doesn't make it to GPF, she won't stop improving and bringing this drive and energy! I don't care about her posture, her energy is what brings me into her skating. The way her face lits up during the step sequence :luv17:
