Road to 26 Trophy (OWG test event) | Feb 19-20

My understanding is that there is no stream, paid or otherwise. I read that on the internet, so it must be true.

Our friend @labgoat may have to depend on fan cams to supply us with videos... sometimes, there are a few. I'll provide any links I happen to come across.
I will try - but no promises. Also I am working until Friday morning US time so links will take some time. I will join the watch party once I get home.

Though I have Insta, its not in my wheelhouse. Could someone give me a step by step on how to find these streams? Thanks!

With the archived ones, you just have to open Golden Skate's Instagram page, and all the ones that were able to be saved are there.

I don't use Instagram regularly, so I'm not exactly certain what you click to access an Instagram Live.

I actually don't have my own Instagram account, so I was copying the direct links to the archived reels, and then Instagram got mad at me for not having an account, lol.

" When someone you follow shares a live broadcast, their profile picture will appear at the top of Feed with a colorful ring around it and the word Live. Tap or click their profile picture to view their live broadcast.
You can watch live broadcasts on the Instagram app or on Instagram.com. "

If (as in this case) you already know which account is offering live broadcasting of interest, you don't even need to be following the account.
You do need to be logged into your own account, but if you just look directly at https://www.instagram.com/goldsk8/ when it is broadcasting live, you will see the red circle for a Live.

Thanks to GS for the live streaming!

And for archiving most (I think?) of the streaming: https://www.instagram.com/goldsk8/reels/

Can anyone tell me if Josefin got her WC TES minimums? (I can't recall if it was SP or FS she needed)

Not yet. She needs another 2.24 points across the two programmes. Her SP TES today was a fair way below the one which is currently counting. She therefore needs to get all of the extra points in the free. This means that she has to get a FP TES of 56.38. Her highest so far this season was 52.88, and most have been in the 40s. With her current tech content, she needs to go completely clean with positive GOE, or else she needs to find a 3-3 combo from somewhere.

No she didn´t, but there is a new chance tomorrow in the FS. It´s combined TES now of 90 she needs, so she could potentially get in both segments but she would have needed over 35.86 in TES in the SP to get it today, and there was never realistic she would get in by increasing her SP TES with the layout she has. Her best TES in her SP is already 33.62. Today she got 29.07. She will need 56.38 in the FS to have the total combined of 90.

Looking at the judging, she might have a chance tomorrow, since she only got a q on her jumps today, but she also got negative GOE because of the landings. She will probably have to skate clean and not fall on her salchow like she did the last two competitions. Last week was the closest she has ever been this season with 52.88 and that was with a fall on the salchow and a very wonky landing on axel. For me it looks like she was working hard today to not get called but leading her landing position to look a bit forced, so it´s not really boosting her GOE. Her BV is around 51-52 with the layout she had last time, so potentially if she goes clean and doesn´t have any big issues with the landings it should be possible because her spins and step sequence helps to boost her GOE. So basically the key is not get the negative GOE on the jumps and land them all.

Apparently Josefin applied for a late entry at Bellu Memorial as well, so she has one more chance if she doesn´t get it tomorrow. But the SP in Romania is already the day after the FS in Italy, so that means she will have competitions 4 days in a row 😱 Since it´s the FS TES she realisticly can improve it would mean that her last chance if she doesn´t get it tomorrow would be the long program after 3 straight days of competitions. That is going to be incredible difficult. Not to mention that she has been doing competitions now every week since Euros.. so it will be 5 competitions in 4 weeks time. So most likely her best chance is tomorrow, unless the judges at Bellu Memorial give some monster GOE and don´t look too close on those landings.

Thanks! That's a pity as I like her a lot. Hopefully she can get there yet!

Now, starting to pray for Sota's program
I hope so too, because she has a really good chance to qualify in the FS at Worlds and secure a Olympic spot with her quality all though her jumps are looking a bit iffy. It´s crazy that you can be good enough to qualify for the free at Worlds but not get the minimum requirements to go there because of these difficult minimums.

Rosch/Schuster and Crafoords need to skate perfectly tomorrow if they are to get mins for worlds...
I think it might be within the former's grasp but not so optimistic about the latter...
The Kovalevs...just a fluke? I guess we'll know after the free skate.
Roscher and Schuster can do it with a clean skate and they do seem to be on an upward trajectory after missing almost all of last season through injury.

I would be surprised if the Crafoords managed it. The scores which are currently counting as their best CTES are from the start of last season. They have been around 10 marks off in most competitions this season (the closest was Golden Spin where they were 6 marks off). Realistically, they would need to suddenly improve the base value and GOE for their jumps, as that is where they are really falling short. It is difficult without at least one SBS triple in the free.

Kovalevs have been poor all season, compared to what they are capable of. I think Pavel has had injury issues. Health permitting, their Worlds selection for this season should be secure, but they are at risk of not making the free there. They will need to sort things out for next season, otherwise they could find themselves being overtaken by one of the rapidly improving French pairs below them.

Yes, it is practically impossible without that SBS triple.
You could possibly make up for the lack of a triple with solid scores on all other elements, but the Crafoords usually have multiple red boxes.
Gamez/Korovin are attempting to get their mins at 4CC tomorrow without a triple (her 3S is consistently downgraded), but they would have to skate perfectly on every other element. If they land their throw jumps, it just might happen.
Even if these teams were to make it to worlds, they would be in danger of not making the free. Every team that made the free last year had a SBS triple.
