Finally got to watch this whole broadcast
a couple quick thoughts:
To my best objective analysis: Kira had the most impressive skate - lots of talent. Cant really comment much though because I think musically the program was abhorrent - really killed the impression for me. But still, I can be objective enough to say she was the best today, I think.
Zhilina and Titova skated just fine, but underwhelmed me a bit compared to my expectations (then again, its just a test skate, so maybe I'm being harsh). Zhilina's choreo was a bit mediocre and the song choice isnt enough to really express her talent, in my opinion. Similar thoughts about Titova - the music doesnt fit her style. The thing is, I understand them totally: their style is classical (in my opinion), but they have been doing countless ice shows and dancing days worth of classical for months - of course they want something else. Usually I'd blame laziness when the musical choice is subpar, but in this instace it makes sense. On the positive side, ill add that of course Zhilina still showed glimmers of athletic greatness (her jumping split is otherworldly). Titova also still showed enough to me that I'm just as confident as I ever was that her artistic potential is probably the greatest of all the Russian girls.
All things considered, Plushenko's team surprised me with their level of choreo - not in a good way (aside from Kira). I really hope this doesn't reflect in Mura during adult skates

Maybe they'll get better a bit further into the season, since Plushenko was more focused on the ice shows recently? The choreography in the shows was very high level.
Really wish we got to see Lyubov skate, always felt shes a super underrated wild card.
Extremely excited now to see the free skates.
