This past season led to an international breakthrough for Sarah Meier. The 23-year-old Swiss qualified for the Grand Prix Final, took the bronze medal there and went on to claim the silver at the European Championships.

She names qualifying for the Grand Prix Final in Torino as one of her goals for the upcoming season. "However, more important for me in the Grand Prix series is to land a triple-triple combination in my programs," Sarah underlined.

smart girl. i wonder what tripletriples she is planning for her programs? has she ever landed a tripletriple before anyone know?

i think i remeber seeing her land one last year.... mayeb triple toe triple toe... but i could be wrong.

Triple Toe combination maybe is not getting high points though.
Also I think she should improve her spiral and layback spins.
Her hands movement are good and her variation on spins are unique.

I know that she was not attempting the triple loop last year in her programs, is that just becuase she couldn't fit a seventh triple in becuase of not doing a 3/3 combo or sequence?

Thanks for the article. She is great. :)

I don't know what triple-triples she is planning to do or if she has ever land those at the competiotions, but at this older (April 2004) GS article (http://www.goldenskate.com/articles/2003/040504.shtml) she says following:

"The most difficult triple-triple I have is the triple lutz-triple toe, but I'm only using triple lutz-double toe now because I was injured and could only practice for six weeks before the European Championships."
