The famous Sasha-grimace...Not exactly the most aesthetically pleasing spin, but I do appreciate the difficulty. Especially since she does it on a backspin and I can get 2 whole revs on a back scratch, if I'm lucky.

That grimace lasts for a split second, while she's getting through the most difficult transition. You should see other skater's faces, while they're in the middle of their scratch spins, sit spins and jumps. Definitely not the best moments to take a close up pictures.

Pookie - You would never see a ballerina do that. A ballerina is not permitted to hold her leg in the air. If she can't get it on muscle she doesn't do it.

But this is skating and the concept of flexibility for me is way out of hand. So Sasha is doing her thing. It's ok. Just not my cup of tea.

IDLERACER, that is unfortunately (for Sasha) the exact, perfect description of that image. I was trying to think of whom that grimace reminded me (with the pale face and the bright red lipstick).

Dee - That's exactly my point. I just get so tired of posters commenting about how balletic so and so is when they see something that's outrageously contortionism or at least acrobatic.
As for Sasha, I think she could still win without the BC.

While I can appreciate that she can do the BC, I think that she has other moves that I would rather see and that IMO are more attractive. Same goes for, Y spins, Bielmans(other than DB and LR), and donuts by ANYONE.
