I loved Satoko, especially her FS. I've always admired Satoko's excellent work ethic and desire to improve, but I really felt something special with both her programs this weekend. She paces the tango SO well. Congrats to her and I can't wait to see her live at GPF!

Congratulations Satoko! As usually, I love both the programs of the season, sensitive Little Sparrow and fiery Invierno Porteno. I would give her 10`s at least in IN, CO and PE.

She's really just so inspirational:luv17:. Congrats on easily reaching the final tiny reina. (And with Liza, love being able to see them together again.)

I know critics are uninspired and say the same thing over and over (not enough height yada yada), but to me she's actually an amazing jumper, they told her to change the direction of her jumps, which must be a challenge most skaters are unable to even overcome in the first place, then they told her to jump higher and avoid URs which she has, in less than a year. Like yeah it will probably never be the highest but she's got to be one of the hardest workers around and I LOVE HER. Excited for the final!!

Agreed. Satoko holds her movements, everything is precise and beautiful. Well, maybe her jumps are worse than those of others. I think her fans can see and admit this. But the thing is... we also notice and appreciate her special connection to the music, her elegance, her spins, the perfect execution of her steps, her skating skills. Satoko has literally everything at a level that is perfected other than jumps. And now she‘s working so hard on them, too. How can‘t you admire her for that?

Congrats Satoko on earning your ticket to GPF and another well-deserved medal! Good luck at the final and the rest of the season!

I think this is it. I'm not a dancer (lol like on any level) so I have poor understanding a vocabulary, I tend to just like some more than others, but with Satoko I think it's the connection to the music. She's so delicate and elegant but also strong and disciplined. Sometimes that can result in a sort of "overrehearsed" look, but I never get that from her, and I think it's because of her connection with the music, she moves with purpose because she knows it so well, not just because she has memorized when to do what. OK, my comment added nothing because you said it better, but I just wanted to say I agree!

It frustrates me how her step sequence gets downgraded to a level 3 in this whole comp. Is she missing something? Ice coverage perhaps?
Yesterday they cut her step sequence before the twizzles.

I am wondering this also, she has not yet gotten stsq4 this season for both programs, if I am remembering correctly. I don't think it is the ice coverage because she manages to go from one side of the rink to the other, perhaps they need to add more steps?

Wow Satoko's handwriting is so neat I can actually read it! Sometimes I don't even bother . But her having neat handwriting doesn't surprise me in the least lol.
